For cheongsam, you can try china town shops or there's a shop inside orchard hotel gallery(i got mine there, not sure how much you mean by affordable, but mine is short cheongsam <$100) or at the 1st floor of orchard towers.

BTW, if u are taking from one-stop BS, think there is a slim possibility of reducing cost if u remove the bridal car rental from the package. The most is only $200 less.

Im a DIY bride to be...

-Nt taking any BS package, as not keen on studio photos. Tailored made a WG ( with 2 different train/sash for 2 dirrerent look). Bought a Off the rack EG and get my tailor to added up so ribbon 4 me.

- no viedographry. Just a AD pohotgrapher as we plan to take some out door shots on the AD

- Diiner is in a small resturant, mainly for immediate family.

- got a MUA that dont charge extra for starting early. (Ad i have many places to go at the actual day . HTB will have to fetch me at abt 7am... hee hee)

- HTB coat .. no problem... using the one he tailored made during our ROM.

- Corsages/flowers etc intend to source around for sutiable and reasonable price.

- intend to use a Bus plus instead of car. They had a offer for AD this year, not sure it will be extended to next year

guest book etc... my friend had bought it for me in australia...

Just a recommendation. You can email blissfulthots. We got our ring pillow, and other wedding related stuff there. She even tie two beautiful hand bouquet for my mum and mum-in-law.
Very thoughtful of her. Her price are very reasonable.

You can cut down your budget on your bridal package, it's a waste of money especially when you will only display those photos once on your wedding day, and then kept inside your cupboard most of the time.

Save these money and get a better AD photographer that at least dare to charge S$2000 and above as their basic package.
 
i fully agree with galgal, the bridal shop wanted to charge rom package at $488, i took my friend tris who receomnd this freelance photographer and charge $250 with all prints back n cd n slideshow 4 me...........the bridal shop is not happy as i took thier package that had no pgotographers to save $2888, i was even told by the shop if i wanted reprints , it will be $50 per pc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so to cut costs about the BS? Basically it's WG,EG, flowers and indoor/outdoor photography right?

I am thinking of just getting the gowns and decorating the bridal car (not car rental), then only do photography during AD. .anyone did this before?

Red wine = Red Deer Unoaked Cab Sauv (S$17 per bottle)

White wine = Penfolds Rawsons Retreat Sauvignon Blanc (S$24 per bottle)

Can get cheap nice boxes for angbao box from Daiso - at Plaza Sing or IMM. They also have decorative items like ribbons, heart-shaped stuff, etc. All going at $2. I like Spotlight too at Plaza Sing but the prices are much higher.
DIY my own wrist corsages and earrings as presents for jiemeis. Also my own angbao boxes. Think it's fun and a great way to save
