How do u deal w lonely nites?

From the many threads here, seems like quite a number of married ppl having to deal with loneliness particularly for those spouses working OT or outstation often. Can share how do u deal with tat?

My wife (kidless) often has to work overtime or sometimes outstation. Initially was stil ok, but after a while it gets bored. I cant find much kakis/colleagues to hang out wif coz all got commitments.

Anyone got similar situations can share? am looking for some group activity esp evenings after work but duno where to start off.
 


U need some balance in your life and not revolve it around your spouse only. Dun u have hobbies and family?

Go exercise 3 times weekly, pick up new interest or upgrade yourself. Attend some course. E.g learn to drive a boat or cook, rock climbing, golf, bowling, snoker etc. Or research on getting passive income or investments. Date your mum... Dine with her alone and bring her to a good movie.
 
Yea, agree with Milo.

My hubby is often outstationed too. In fact, I'm a person who needs private time to myself so I either spend more time at work or indulge in my hobbies. There are many things you can do alone. Reading, surfing the web, playing computer games, watch movies, jogging etc...

And yes, go out with your family. That's the best way to spend time with them. Take them out for a good meal etc.

my hubby OT alot even on weekends.

I do my own things when he's not around eg. watch TV, surf internet, reading, houseworks and meet up with friends. My parents sometimes would come over to my place and I cook for them. I would also go back to my in-law's place even when hubby's not in town.


It really depends on your interests. My brother's gf also works alot of OT. So he joins Toast Master club and play soccer with his friends. Sometimes, he would just join any adhoc seminars or short courses for self enrichment.

What have you wanted and liked to do since young, but has never ever found time to do? What is one thing that you have always said that you have no time to do? What will you indulge yourself in if you have unlimited time and $$$?
 
go exercise lor, sign up those gym packages.
go exercise no need talk mah so no need jio pp. exercise finish, bath at gym then go eat, eat finish go home.
by the time reach home nearly 10pm aldy.
if have energy, do some light hsework.
no energy, watch tv.
facebook awhile, post/read forum, then time to sleep liao mah.

em... since u no reply after posting, izit bcos u find ur activity aldy? just curious.

dating the mother is a good idea. take her out on saturday nights for a dinner and movie in orchard and watch youngster's eyes roll. quite fun haha.
 
Its a good time either to enrich yourself as well as reflect on your life like wat u achieved, want to achieve and also appreciate people around you. Also can plan for those free and ez holiday.
 
I would not recommend to get pets just because of loneliness. I have seen many couples gave their pets away when they have childrens. But if you do like pets, u can do voluntarily work at SPCA.
 
then keep fish bah.
no need grooming, no need toilet train or walk them.
just need to chg water occassionally.
happy happy see the fish swim.
nt happy? the fish also wont bug u for neglecting them.
em... good choice.
somemore no excuses to abandon them if have kids in future.
lifespan also shorter.

junkie, i think panda is still more suitable for u. lol.

Panda cannot keep as pets, I don't want to see you on wanbao. Pet Owner die at home < attack by his panda.

I know someone who have a few pandas in another country but he is psycho so you better don't ended up like him. No link between psycho and panda but its just my personal thgt of e connection
 
u think i hu jintao's best fren huh? where to find panda? so the possiblity of me getting killed by a panda pet is nil :P
 
u dont really need to be friend of hujintao to get panda there, got guanxi with others is doable

But when i tink back, sometime abit sian, know of any group of similar ji-mo ppl i can starbuck wif anot.

as for the starhub, drink @ respective desk lor.
so together is still group of pp u starbuck w. keeke.
though i prefer drink bubble tea than coffee.
 
Lonelyhubby > if u already have a hobby, maybe you can google for groups outing for your hobby? then you can join them? at least have interaction with ppl..

If you can, join ur wife when she is outstation? can accompany her (after her working hours) and also a short holiday for yourself.
