Anyone getting married at HortPark in Nov 2011?
I'm considering HortPark, but it seems to be a bit tricky.
One of their conditions:
**2 Full Day of booking (before & after event) is required for any tentages & planking set-up and tear-down.

I was thinking of doing tentage cause Nov could be really hot or cold.
Then anyone wants to share or something if they're wanting a simliar set up?

Hi, i was thinking of having that too for my wedding but does hortpark provides banquet service? if yes, is it from their list of caterer only or there's other list of restaurants available?

actually why u dont wan go for their MPH (with stage) which is indoor?

Hi,

I hold my ROM this year Jan there. It is nice place, with MPH with the AV setup.

If u wish to have at the lawn, beside tentages u need to have some light for night time if ur event end late.

They have a list of authorised caterers; some provide banquet services. Do bear in mind that hortpark only provide 250 pine chair but without the cover. you need to request for round tables if you need.

I have a very bad experience with my caterer, Four Season Catering. Pls do not engage them

Helen they have third party banquet services from that list of caters? Lol. The's been bad services from that list though, other ladies said so in other threads :/
I can't, I checked with them, the date I want is booked out

My guest list might be up to 300, I'm overcounting though, better then under count right?

I don't think so lah.
They're booked out on the day I want. and I can't afford the book the day before and after too.

Any other place to suggest?

considering hortpark as well. From list of caterers, not many to choose from after reading reviews about. seems like only rasel is good to go.

im planning to book both MPH and hortlawn for bout 300 ppl.

contacted the tentage company n this is what they said for the setup.

Setup: The day before
Dismantle: The next day till 2pm

gonna cost a bomb!

havent included wine/alcohol beverages.
live music and place deco.

i went for my friend's ROM at one of the indoor mhp.. its a good weather to take pics outdoors after the ceremony. Food was by orange grove i think.. nice deco,and food was good =)

Jo: Orange clove you mean?? My friend and I attended their wedding workshop, the drapes hanging from the top to bottom were the ugliest and the only thing I like best was the dessert bar with garden ornaments. In the end, we went off without enquiring for wedding.
