I am looking for honeymoon in Japan. Any advise for good timing?
We are thinking autumn / winter around Oct - Nov. We don't want Sakura season because it will be too crowded.
Any good tour? most tour are expensive :(

try nam ho travel, they are good wth japan tours -the standard of lodging and restaurants are good.

but you can also try free and easy, japan is not too difficult to self tour :)

Winter is dec, jan, feb. Depends on the location, Tokyo don't snow much...
I am going to Japan for honeymoon as well on free and easy.

i went hokkaido in winter for part of my honeymoon on free and easy. it's awesome fun and romantic in the ski resort :) plus the seafood are just too yummy!

I think Spring or Autumn will be awesome. In Spring you can see the nice cherry blossoms and in autumn you can see the beautiful autumn leaves. It is also kinda romantic that way. Don't go in summer as it will be too hot. And if you want to be comfortable traveling, avoid winter cuz that requires a lot of winter wear, etc. Oh, and avoid rainy season which typically kicks in late May-June.

Japan is a big place...you can avoid Tohoku or Kanto area if you are worried about the radiation. Kyushu is a good start. It is far from the affected area and is an awesome place.

Oct! Hokkaido seafood is the best !
anyway, Japan is a country is quite easy to get around with. Safe & the younger generation speaks english.
