Hi Vicky,
We are sorry that you have misunderstood our intentions. We have requested our advertisers and partners to reply to the enquiries in the forum even though they have e-mailed their responses. The reasons are as follows:
1. There are occasions whereby the poster may have accidentally mis-typed his/her own e-mail and the response may then be sent to someone else's account. By responding to the enquiry in the forum, the poster will then be aware if the e-mail was not received.
On the other hand, if no response was posted in the forum, the poster will not know if the e-mail was sent but not received.
2. If there are no response in the forum, we would send e-mail to our advertisers or partners highlighting the posting. By posting a response in the forum, we would know that a response had been sent to the poster. This facilitates the communication between the poster, ourselves and our working partners.
We would like to apologise if this has caused you to misunderstand our intentions.
However, it was not a fair statment to say that if people respond to the enquiries in the forum, that means they have a lot of time. For example, many of our partners in the advice corner find time to offer advice and response to the enquiries. This does not mean that they have lots of free time. You may notice that some of the postings are done late in the night or very early in the morning.
Regards,
Chin Leng.
