Hi all

I am having my wedding lunch very soon, but i got no idea of how to plan my programme during the wedding lunch....Can anybody share the programmes in a wedding lunch event with me? Many many thanks for your help.....

Hi Hamham

Mine is also a wedding lunch in May'10. When's yours? Guess I'll be showing some slides of my wedding photos, that's all. Initially I wanted to hire a live band but it's pretty expensive. Think my guests will be engrossed in eating and talking. So point in hiring one..

Hi both

I just held my wedding lunch 2 days ago...it went smoothly from the morning session till the banquet ended.

Actually, the programe is almost the same as dinner time, nt much difference.

I flashed out my montage, I enagaged a musician to play the "live" song for my 1st march-in. After this, is the cake cutting n food start to served in. At 2nd dish, will go out n change to the second gown n wait for the 2nd march-in.

Campage pouring n table to table photoshoot...But I am glad to see that I managed to have interaction with all my guests (before n during the banquet time).

I n my hubby walk around the ballroom, chit chat with them, snap pics etc...make them feel nice n warm. Rather than just eat eat eat n eat...

Hi Snoopy Dog

Thanks for sharing with us.

Where was your wedding lunch held? Did you have any tea ceremony? How much is the charges for engaging a musician? The musician played throughout the whole banquet?

Sorry for asking so many questions..

Hi Ginger Cat : Mine is held at Qian Xi @ Farrer Park. Tea ceremony is at home during morning session...so timing have to be quite accurate as we do not have enough time like ppl having dinner...

I engage the musician to play only one song for the 1st march, U may browse through this website for more informations : www.theolive3.com

my wedding just over recently, its a wedding lunch also.

for me I showed 4 montages during the whole course, with the occasional emcee prompts here and there.

Hi Snoopy Dog

So after the "live" song for your 1st march-in, you played music throughout?

Hi Thomas

Thanks for sharing too.

Seems like wedding lunch is getting popular nowadays. How come you had occasional emcee? Your friends??

hi hamham i'll also be having a wedding lunch but it will be a more casual atmosphere so will have friends performing instead of getting professional live band - those are really costly! Plus having friends and family perform is really much much more heartwarming... and meaningful!

Hi all,

I'll be having a wedding lunch too.
Wonder what time did you start the makeup? For me the auspicious timing for my htb to pick me is 0859-1159, which means earliest he can step in my house is 0859. Seems very tight timing, thinking i have to go to his house, travel direct to hotel, 2nd makeup etc. Can share with me your schedule? Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I will be having a wedding lunch too, with the whole morning tea ceremony and solemnisation before the lunch. Guess timing will be tight.

do you go straight to the venue for tea ceremony after the groom picks you up or go to the groom and return back to the bride's for tea ceremony?

hi ladies,

Congratulation to all of you. In fact, I'm also having wedding lunch in Oct 2010 but I have no idea how to plan for the schedule. The auspicious timing to step out of the house is at 9am and complete the ceremony by 11am. How do I make sure I have time to go to my hubby home and return back to my home before rush down to the hotel for the lunch at 1.30pm. Can u ladies give me advice if I should conduct the tea ceremony at home or at the hotel for both side of families ?

Thanks for your comment and advice.

whyy, I'm also having solemnization + tea ceremony before my wedding lunch. My tea ceremony is at the hotel.

This is my draft schedule. It's flexible cos we don't have to abide to auspicious timings. My MUA is telling me there's no time to do second makeup.

07:00 - Makeup
09:00 - Gate crash
10:30 - Reach hotel for preparation (1/2 hours)
11:00 - Solemnization (1/2 hours)
11:30 - Tea Ceremony (1 hour)
12:30 - Reception (1/2 hours)
1:00 - Lunch ( till 4.30)

Nat, having the tea ceremony at the hotel is a good idea. You can have elders of both sides all at the same place, and that's a time saver.

Hi Lish,

May I pls know where u held ur wedding lunch?

So ur wedding lunch starts fr 1.00pm?
Btw, did u do any montage or video to be played during ur wedding lunch ?

Hi Yan,

I held at Marriott. I have a childhood montage at the start of the lunch, and another surprise montage by my cousins after 2nd march in

As my solemnization went overtime, lunch started around 1.30pm.

Hi bluewingz, saw your post in marriott forum too, hahaa. Marriott lunch pricing will increase by around 15-20% after aug 2010... Just to share w u. As for package pricing, why dont u contact marriott wedding planner direct? Can look for shishi, can mention jensen, heh

Hi gers, did ur had tea ceremony at home or hotel directly?
Am deciding lunch or not but wOrry the time restrictions

Bluewingz, after the wedding, all the related stuff are tossed around, can't find my package, sorry.

Marriott coordinators are friendly, if you approach them, I'm sure they will show you around the pool. My ROM was held in the Grand ballroom. I find it much cooler and comfortable

. After the ceremony, Marriott tidied up the ROM tables and chairs for lunch to begin.
