I am M'sian female married to Singapore man about 5 years.This man is not a responsible man, he is not take care of this marriage and not paying all household expenses because he is jobless about 3 years. I am bored and tired about this marriage,trying to dicuss with him for divorce but he will throw temper and very fierce to me.Sometime will hurt me but doctor unable to examinate.What should I do now?

dun bother with what the tv serials are teaching u abt getting PIs, showing how he abuse u (except for getting PPO), dun just talk, see a lawyer tomoro.

Hi Ling Yong, I wonder how u managed to maintain the marriage for the past few yrs. It must be draining n disheartening for u. I agree w powder - u can obtain a divorce by urself w/out ur husband's agreement. U can stay in a different rm or rent a rm outside, stay apart for 4yrs n get ur divorce. If u want a quick divorce, u can hire a PI to show evidence of ur husband abusing u or directly speak to ur parent-in-laws to let them know wats going on.

It will be gd if u have kept the receipts and bills over the past few yrs to show ur financial contribution to the marriage. If not, its okay as well. Most importantly, so long as u are working n have enough savings for urself, go ahead and seek a happier life for urself.
