HDB sales proceed entitlement if we divorce

If my husband contributes more than me for our HDB flat, in the event if we were to divorce, am I entitled to 50% of the house automatically?

He tries to convince me that if we have signed up under the joint tenancies scheme, we were to split the sales proceeds equally regardless of the monthly contributions given by each party.
 
No, you are not entitled to 50% of the house automatically. However, you can negotiate to get 50% of the sales proceed regardless of contribution. If both of you cannot come to a conclusion, you would have to fight it out in court.
 
Dun worry...woman charter will protect u...even if contested divorce....from what i know from my lawyer's friends....the court has a tendency to side the women....so getting 50% or more is highly possible....just make sure u get urself a good lawyer....:p:p:p
