Hair Extension...

Hi anyone tried hair extension, any recommendation? Is it good?

Desperately need some advice....

Hi, I strongly don't recommend hair extensions. I did it just 2 weeks back at Emanage Hair Salon, Heeren. Had 40 bundles attached to my natural hair (this is little compared to many who had done it)... all that tugging and pulling, including the heavy load of 'new hair' resulted me having an extremely miserable night. Suffered severe headache which led to fever - worst of all, I could not sleep cuz it was hard finding a comfortable spot especially when the braids were pressing against your scalp and tugging at your hair. It was really uncomfortable and painful. I ended up waking at 3am in the morning, having to pull everything off. It was $600 down the drain!

Best of all, the hair makers are the salon will never tell you about the pain that goes along with it. In fact, I know of friends who had done it and had developed rashes and needed to take antihistemine and panadol to quell the pain.

I love my short hair more than ever now! Def. wouldn't put myself through such misery again!

I had mine done at Gracious Bar at Clementi, cost me $200 for 160 strands and its totally comfortable. Everybody was praising what a good job it was when I told them I had my hair extended. The strands are thicker than those I previously did at City Plaza. Very much worth the price and the quality of the hair is better too. I did curly ones and they didn't loosen out just after days.

Hi April,

Is yours braided as well? Can you give me the contact detail and address of the salon?

Yes mine is braided. Its done by Charlene at Gracious hair extension bar.
Located at Clementi ave 3 Blk 445 #01-149. Contact at 67750168

city plaza 1 strands only $0.50 and 50 free 10... when shopping at far east plaza saw lot of shop doing too.... $1 each

Hi,

I've had extensions for almost 20 months now and love them, couldn't live without my long hair. However, no matter what method you use (i had International but am about to switch to great lengths) make sure the person who does them knows what they're doing. The last lot i had put in the idiot girl didn't seal the bonds properly and as a result i lost so much extension hair. Also look into where the hair comes from. Hair extensions intl used to be great quality but the last two lots of 'new' hair felt like cheap ****. From experience asian hair hasn't worked for me and thats why i'm switching to indian virgin hair.

I have tried the city plaza "Angel" hair salon some time back, I quite like their hair extension, but now I stay in yew tee, anyone can recommand gd hair extension salon in yew tee?

Instead of extending hair strand by strand, can we just add fake hair extension (like those with clips) or the look will be fake?
I am looking into a long curvy hair that fall at the side. Thanks!

I don't know how many of you have heard of or had microchet extensions, but I can tell you - after having been down the hair-hell highway for years with stylists trying every kind of technique on my poor hair - this is truly a miracle. I looks completely natural and flows like a dream. And no problems with the wind (if you know what I mean), or parting, ponytails, you name it. I truly LOVE my hair now. compared before that i experience hair loss, which i think is another issue. lol. hope this helps!

Hi all, has anyone been to Hairdreams?
I passed by Cuppage and saw the salon, looks nice and posh. Googled about them and saw that they do kinda amazing hair transformations!
Would like to know if any of you has gone there before?

i did mine at milly , far east. it was so painful that i had a bad headache and had to remove them by cutting off the rubber bands the night before the photoshoot. it was also very heavy and unnatural. paid abt $500 and just a waste of money. u can try to buy clip on hair extension at girls hairdo at peninisula shopping centre. it is so much cheaper and natural.

for clip on hair extension , try girls hairdo. the owner is really nice and helpful and her extensions are really good, affordable and natural

After much consideration, I just went to Hairdreams to get my first hair creation done last week!
It was an amazing experience because I have rather thin hair and it is really my dream to have more hair!
First they did a hair and scalp analysis to understand my hair and scalp condition and give advice what would be suitable for me.
After some discussion, I decided to do fill ups which is basically adding hair to create more volume.
The end product looks extremely natural and honestly, it's so comfortable I sometimes forgot I did something to my hair!

I'm thinking of doing hair extensions for my wedding too! Glad to hear that it isn't always a bad experience. Does it really cost thousands to get it done at Hairdreams?
