Hi,

anyone has used or is using a dryer to dry clothes? Any advice on a good one?

Heard that clothes will also shrink... is it true?

I would think you might want to state your budget if you would like to purchase a dryer.

Then the capacity of a dryer you are looking for as well.

Well, shrinking does occur when you use a dryer. But it also depends on what how you use it as well.

Hi,

I saw some dryers at 800 to 1K and some are bundled deal from mayer shops.

There are brands like indesit and ariston. I have nvr used one b4.. any good recommendation?

Would think a 5kg load should be sufficient...

Condenser dryer basically doesnt vent out hot air,it's more environment friendly. But usually cost more than normal venting dryer. Whr r u placing your dryer ? nearby any windows ?

Is the gas dryer (citigas) really cheaper (in terms of electricity bill) than non-gas dryer?
please advise.

Of course, it is cheaper to use gas rather than electricity, u can go to their website to see the price compare.

But if you read carefully, they calculate base on 1 hour usage of gas dryer vs 2 hour usage of electric dryer. Moreover, the heat input of the electric dryer used seems to be on the high side....

Not so sure how realistic the comparison is...

Hi hi..... Just to let who ever wants a good and cheap deal on washer and dryer know....
We got a almost BN Thomson Washer and Dryer to let go as we sold our house recently.
We got it last Nov 2008 at SGD$2k, still have the receipts and the warranty. Not looking to sell it at high price, but pls....reasonable offers.
We r not bringing it along as we r moving back to parents' place.

I did a lot of research when I was buying a dryer. At first I got an old one off craigslist. After a few months I was able to invest in a new one. It may be a little out of your price range but the Atlas sure cure 824d is a great mid range unit. A lot of bang for your buck. Has all the bells and whistles. Get what you can afford. You can always re-invest and there is always someone looking to buy your used dryer. What will work for some may not work for others. My advice, buy used until you know what a good machine is for you. In my opinion, A good machine has digital temp control, adjustable forced air/ exhaust, adjustable belt speed. Adjustable heat panels. Easily replaceable parts, and good technical support. All these features allow you to take on many different print jobs with ease. hooded fleece, water based, polyester garments etc.
