Credit Card Recommendations for Hotel Banquet

Hi everyone! I'm a 2016 BTB and in the midst of searching/ deciding on a hotel banquet. Is there any credit card that I can or should sign up for my payment ie: to take advantage of rebates for min. spending? Thanks!

we used AMEX for deposit of $5000 to get rebate of 5%. Following which we used manhatten to pay $6666 to rebate about $200. Now I think the UOB ONE card is not bad as well. Might consider that for future payments.

Ooo I also just signed up for AMEX for the 5%. It's the True Cashback card right? So will you be using Manhatten for every quarter?

nope i don't think so. i think the UOB ONE card has more rebate now. $2000/month for 3 consec months to get 5% rebate. more than mahatten and we are paying $2000 at one time

Hi, i havent try... currently too many useless cards on hand... haha

I read somewhere that some cards 6 months after cancellation then considered new applicant to enjoy the perks.

Hsbc told me that im not entitled to enjoy the new sign up perks bcos i cancelled my hsbc cc before and is within this year

Oh 12 months usually for most banks to be considered by them as new customers and eligible for the new-customers free gifts and promotions.
