CPF Contribution Issue

Last year, my HB's employer made some voluntary contributions and this resulted in HB's exceeding the CPF Contribution Ceiling of $4,500/-. CPF refunded the excess contribution sum to HB's employer. There is some confusion as to whether the employer should return the sum refunded by the CPF to my HB since it was reported as part of his taxable income.

Any HR specialist who is able to provide an answer or anyone encountered such issue and how to resolve it?

Thank you

Thing is his employer is saying that since CPF refunded the sum to them then they won't give it to my HB. But this would mean that my HB will be "short-changed" because the his colleagues are also given similar voluntary contributions just that they have not reached the CPF Contribution Ceiling so they don't encounter any issue.

Yes, the contribution will not give to your husband as the CPF contribution ceiling is 4.5k only, no matter it is taxable income or not.

why not u give me your husband's bank account and i transfer the money to him?

better for me to do this and try to save him his job, than u make him look petty and controlled by his wife, to his employers.

some pple chase after coins so hard... that they drop some notes along the way... eventually when they pick up the shiny coin they were chasing, they realise even their wallets have dropped.
