Anyone aware of the procedures for the tradition combing hair procedures?

I must go through ceremony and my parents does not have any experience in this aspect.

Ladies: Pls help me if you went through the ceremony before and let me know the procedures and details and also the things to say during the combing in chinese. tks

Hi, does anyone know if the lighting of the dragon and phoenix candles is a religious/ancestral thing or a chinese tradition? My family is Catholic while my FH's family is Buddhist and they insist they we burn the candles, but my mum is not comfortable with it. Just need to clarify, thanks.
