Change or cancellation of wedding date

hi All,

I have placed a deposit of 2k with a resturant, however I have yet to sign the contract which they send over. If i were to cancel or postpone the wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. Would they still require me to pay 50% of the wedding cost?

I have not signed the contract yet. Just place desposit. My wedding is in Dec 2011.

i am in same boat as you.I placed a deposit of $3k and yet to sign contract.I now thinking of changing dates or change different package within hotel.The coordinator told me that some perks, especially if you signed during bridal shows may not be valid. Otherwise, you can still swop dates,subject to approval.u need to inform beforehand.For cancellation, u may lose ur deposit.
