Hi everyone
I’m a Catholic getting married to my non-Catholic partner in June 2026 at SMOTA, and we’re hoping to get some advice from couples who’ve been through the church wedding process.
Church choir / duet (9am Mass)
We’ve reached out to several choirs (including SMOTA’s) but most are unavailable. Does anyone have recommendations or contacts for external church choirs or duet singers willing to sing at a 9am Catholic wedding?
Church flowers
We were quoted about $600 (minimum) for church flowers, charged separately from our banquet. It feels quite steep given the short usage (under 2 hours) and that the flowers are returned to the church. Any advice on alternatives or ways to manage this cost?
Wedding booklet
Is it strictly necessary to print physical church booklets, or are digital versions (QR / PDF) acceptable? If anyone is willing to share a sample church wedding booklet, it would really help as we’re still finalising the service flow.
Pre-nuptial interview
My partner (non-Catholic) is quite anxious about the pre-nuptial interview. Could anyone share what is usually covered and how formal or personal the session is?
Thank you so much in advance — really appreciate any insights or experiences shared
