I engaged the carpenter recommended by 'Stars' beginning of this year

just want to feedback he is not good at all.

he has too many jobs (probably because of this forum page) and his workers quality are not satisfactory. he didn't communicate design properly to his workers and the end product is different from what we want

made so many mistakes (don't know why don't have common sense??) that required rectifications and took 2 months to finish the job in my house

his price was expensive too because he said he is designer grade. I still engage him because of the recommendation in this forum page

sob sob...really regret engaging him

sorry for being "mountain-tortise", what is feature wall? i find his workmanship ok, at least he's not calculative. Initially we made an enquiry on full "formicar" sliding door, but eventually we change to partial opaque and he didnt charge additional. According to my fren, they wardrobe (done by somebody else) needs to top up for opaque door. i've PM u the contact

feature walls r "fake" walls done up as decor. some ppl do feature walls 2 hide messy wirings or 4 mounting LCD tv. as 4 myself, i wanna do feature wall in MBR 2 act as decor as well as advice from feng shui master.

hi.. just a qns...is it ok / good to use sub-contractors?? cuz most of us are working and u have to make sure u r there when sub-con doing their work. and also, u wun noe whether they are doing the right way... but contractor will noe...

if lets say u r not doing a lot for ur hse maybe u can consider using sub-cons.
but mostly it is quite a hassle n would be easier if u approach a contractor as they also use sub-cons but they will manage the whole process for u. and easier for u if lets say u have any problem, u can just ask 1 person.

Hi Cynthia, You can try my contractor - Ah Heng (98331878). His workmanship & qty are not bad but mins point is he tends to make mistakes so instruction given to him must be very clear & he is not good in design. Unless you know what you want & tell him then it's ok. His price is also quite cheap.
