hey dolphin 25,thanks. the construction i think going to be done soon le.. i din hear any sound from the construction. more concerned about the cranes as backdrop. but later after talking to my PG then i know that the crane wasn't a problem at all.. cuz they can play with different angles to avoid the crane

I've recently visited Carlton and I actually have intention to hold it at the courtyard. However, I'm concerned about the sound coming from the waterfall. Was the sound loud even with the microphone on?

Is the courtyard the rooftop higher than the pool? The one with a shelter? I remember from my last shoot there that the waterfall cannot be heard from there too.

jason is not working at carlton anymore.. called up yesterday cos we are thinking of going down to check out the venue and discuss on the package.. if possible can book first.. but now the package for 2009 is not available yet.. but the coordinator agnes said the price will increase..

You just need to sign up an account at www.mywedding.com and there are many themes for you to choose. Then you can just follow the templates and upload your photos and stuffs. Quite user-friendly. Very soon you can have your own wedding site too!

Thanks lingandyang for your patience advice! I will definitely try out the wedding site and initially i was still very worried about the ROM package cause due to budget constraint of only $2k. They count the charges of food by number of head? I will check it out soon and which place inside Carlton is good for ROM ceremony?

no prob. I'm glad to help a bit. I'm not sure if the carlton package had changed, but during my time, which was actually last year only, the package price was for 30 pax. And every addtional pax was an additional $30++ i think. I understand that the current rate had been adjusted already. So perhaps you would like to check with Carlton their current ROM package.
I think $2k should be enough if you are looking at an intimate group of guests only.
There are 2 spots usually used for ROM ceremony. One is the courtyard which is the one i'm using. The other is the cabanas, a bali-like pavilion. Both are good but depend on which you prefer.

rach, if i remember correctly, my PG's ROM package is $300 for around 4-5 hours then return all photos in CD and 100 4R prints.

haa actually during that time when i was about to have my ROM, i realised many of the couples actually chose carbanas. Hence i can't find related photos for reference. Still i decided to go for courtyard cos i wanted a more formal setting with seats for my guests. For carbanas, it will be more casual setting, with guests all standing around the pavilion. Anyway really depend on what you prefer.
My solemnizer is Mr Goh Chee Kok. I find him very patient and he looks very 慈祥 when he was my fren's solemnizer. So we decided to invite him too.

nope it's the exact same place if I read the thread properly. Usage of any one of the 3 place and buffet at esplanade
So I reckon that should be be older part of the hotel and I understand from them that extension is delayed too.
