We faced a similar situation recently as I'm Malaysian and we had to throw a banquet for my dad's side of the family in Johor. Our bus came from Johor to Singapore to pick my husband's extended family up to Johor for the banquet and return back to Singapore the same day (the driver then drove back to Johor after dropping us off). The bus has a Malaysian bus number plate so shouldn't run into too much issues with the Malaysian traffic police.. We had a relatively new bus which was very comfortable - 30-seater coach with air-cond, TV and reclinable wide seats. Our assigned driver, Ah Shui, was very courteous both on the road and in his personality. No fast or reckless driving. Both my dad and father-in-law were impressed with his driving that they both separately gave him extra ang pow tips (especially when it was CNY season)... Even my cousin-in-law who usually has motion sickness when travelling told us that he felt so comfortable with the ride that he could actually read a book on board the bus without feeling any nausea or dizziness... The service we engaged is from a Johor-based company called Baoche and the person to contact to liaise all the arrangements is Sharon (+60177477032) - her preferred mode of communication is via WhatsApp as they get to keep a record of the communication and they can also send you photos if you're interested. They also have chartered MPVs for those who want transportation for a smaller number of guests. Their price is reasonable and can match many other chartered bus companies out there but what we like is their prompt service (including flexibility in arranging different pick-up and drop-off points and time) and their assigned driver's driving attitude. Both my husband and I agree that we won't hesitate to engage their services again in the future should we need to charter a bus for some other event... Maybe you can try contacting them and if you do end up engaging their services, hopefully you and your wife will have an equally if not more pleasurable experience with them like we did... =)
