Both Party Agree To Divorce...But Where To Start

After months and months of trying to save the marriage. I guess things have come to a conclusion that we are gonna file for a divorce. However, he is claiming that he doesnt have money to file for a divorce. As far as i know, i can seek legal aid, as i am really tired and totally exhausted and do not want to drag this further.
Anyone out there know of this cos i seriously need some advise....

Hmmm.. I heard from one of my friend's sis who filed for divorce years ago, n she paid as low as $1.00 due to financial restriction. Under some government aid la~ but only lately then they are official divorce... process took about 3 -4 years. (Its like separation process, n provided there's no complication)

Other wise, engage a lawyer, chop chop 6mths you will be free since you doesnt want to drag this further.

He got no money for divorce? Then it got to depends whether you willing to fork out the full amount in return of your freedom, else go for 50-50%. You can pay with credit term installment via credit card, just call your bank and request upon the transaction.

if mutual agreement with 'general' reason like character not compatible etc, the divorce process will be standard, meaning u need to wait for 3 years separation, then officially divorced.

if the reason is either abuse/violent/ so called 'valid' reason, then the divorce can be almost immediate (of course need to go through the waiting process, hearing date etc) or wont be that long

overall divorce fee range about $3K. usual 1st consulation charge is about $500 but depends on individual lawyer's rate.
