Hi GellyMong! We recently completed our PWS and selected our photos. JTS our experience...
Lily is our MUA / coordinator and she is really godsend. She's very friendly, ultra patient and gave us a lot of advices on what to choose and what not to. Our package did not include MUA following us for outdoor shoot but we decided to top up for Lily to follow us through and the money is definitely worth spending if you have outdoor scenes. Lily will be able to help you with gown change and change of hairstyle + the weather was really terrible and we both were sweating, her being there was really a great help! My sister also tagged along through the shoot, it will definitely help a little - she helped us with our props, fan, drinks and also some 'effects' requested by the photographer.
Photographer overall was good - friendly and managed to help us relax with some jokes. The indoor experience was pretty good but outdoor can be better, we left for outdoor close to 4pm, due to time constraints we only managed to drop by 2 locations. You have to choose locations that are really close to each other to save on traveling time and it will be good to have a pre photoshoot discussion with your assigned photographer to let him know your preferred style / locations. They do not do recce for you, so if you have your own prefered locations at places that they are not familiar with, you have to recce the location yourself and let them know exactly which spot. e.g. lalang field - you need to guide your photographer to the exact spot. If you have any specific props that you purchased and want to use for the photoshoot or specific poses, you have to let your photographer know before photoshoot commence, so he will factor those in. Our night shots weren't really very fantastic though, some of the poses were a little 'orbiang' - titantic but it's okay to just take and you can choose not to select them at the selection stage. Also at the end, close to about 8pm, I think the photographer was tired, you can tell he's not so enthusiastic and wanted to end the shoot already so our last scene wasn't very well done.
All in all, we took about 200 odd photos and despite some not so nice poses we still had a time trying to select within our package. We are pretty satisfied with the final selection and will be viewing the layout next month! For our experience, the indoor was better than outdoor and last but not least... They did not really hardsell the photos that much, although the salesperson did try to push us to get all / more photos but they weren't really pressurizing us.
If you require 1 or 2 photos for your Save the Date, they can also email you first (without edits).
Hope the above sharing helps and enjoy your upcoming photoshoot!
