Banquet on a Public Holiday

Brides to be, I need some advices from all of you here.

Both parents have given us the green light to select our own date for our wedding and I'm thinking of holding it either on 25 Dec '10 or 1 Jan '11 and have received alot of different comments. One colleague even told me that she won't be attending my wedding if it falls on X'mas day.

However, I'm only having 20 tables, about 6 tables of relatives and the rest are ex and current colleagues with all my close friends. Do you think the response will be poor if I decide to go ahead on a PH?
 
I think no one here can tell u, best if u go ask them directly if they will be turning up then from there u can gauge a rough figure
 
Personally i will find it a bit selfish on your part for choosing such dates .. you are making people choose between spending time with their family or coming to your dinner.
 
I guess less ppl will come also, esp for xmas, I prefer to spend more time with our loves one rather than attending a wedding. 1st Jan still ok, nothing special for me...
