Artificial or real flower bouquet?

I'm torn between the two because on one hand an artificial bouquet can be kept after the wedding and may be cheaper.

On the other hand, real flowers probably look better.

Has anyone made a comparison of the two and been able to say which might be a better choice?

I will always go for real flowers bouquet =)

i would think deps on if u want it for actual day or pre wed shoot...
some artificial or brooch bouquet can be really nice and can keep for memories :) I made 1 for my prewed photo shoot and it's gonna be part of my new home :)

I had artificial flowers for both my photo shoot and wedding day. :)

I had ordered smaller bouquets for my bridesmaids and a bigger one for myself on etsy. Then I borrowed one of the smaller bouquets to my pre-wed shoot.

The reason being I can have any flower I want in any colours whereas real flowers depend on season and you don't necessarily can have them in the colour you want. Even if your florist can source for the flowers you want, the price can be quite exorbitant. Plus real flowers need to be kept in cool conditions the day before the wedding or risk having it wilt. It doesn't happen always, but it's a risk. Plus you can order it way beforehand and don't need to worry if the florist will deliver to you promptly or not.

If you order good quality ones, no one will be able to tell it's fake. Everyone who saw my bouquet on the wedding day thought it was really beautiful and the real thing. XD

real flowers always look nicer!!

i agree with the artificial flowers - esp those with cute buttons if the artsy cute vibe is what you're going for. and they last forever.!!

I think it very much depends on what flowers you are thinking of using. For flowers like hydrangeas, they can't last half a day. For those, you can consider fake flowers. And if the flowers you like are not in season, you can consider fake ones too. I've personally used peonies when it was in season and the blooms of the real flowers are really beautiful!
Hi Esther! May I know when is the season for peonies? I very much want peonies to be my bridal hand bouquet too. Do you mind sharing how much you spent on the bouquet too? Thanks!!
