Hello!

Anyone has any shop(s) at Arab Street to recommend for getting a tailor-made ROM dress? Any idea on the price of workmanship and materials?

Hi Yippee,

Not sure abt tailors in Arab street (BTW, why arab st??) However, I have a tailor who sew my ROM dress & is getting her to do my mum's cheongsum for my customary.

I'm pleased with the worksmanship & find her charges reasonable. But you hv to buy your own materials.

provide me your email add, i'll send you the contact.

Eda

Hi Eda,

Thanks! I'd love to have your tailor's contact - my email add is [email protected].

Btw, any idea how long she'll need to tailor a dress? And how much did you pay for your dress (material? workmanship?)? Was it a long dress or kinda knee length?

I was asking about arab street cos one of my colleagues mentioned that if I can't find any nice ROM dresses off the shelf, I can go check out Arab Street...but I'm not sure if she meant going there to just buy materials or if they also do tailoring there. My colleague is on leave at the moment...guess I'll have to check with her again when she's back.
