Anyone not doing Pre-wedding shoot?

Hi there,

May I know if there is anyone not doing any pre-wedding shoot but only on actual day?

I am thinking of not taking pre-wedding shoot but, what will be the options if we do not have any photos to show at our Wedding Lunch Banquet at the Wedding Reception area? Will be it be very strange?

Anyone can give me some ideas? I am trying to save cost as many people always said they wasted a lot of money taking the pre-wedding shoots and those albums always needed up in storeroom.

Thanks
Snowy

I guess you can showcase photos which you and your partner have taken in your day to day :)

Actually initially I refused to take the photos cos I thought it's a waste of money. However, after seeing my sister's pre-wed shots, I changed my mind. She basically took lifestyle shots - meaning no over-the-top wedding gowns. Just natural make up and them in their everyday clothes. I think it's timeless and I will display the pictures for many years to come. So just something to consider if you are still in a dilemma.

On actual day, I had 10hrs photography (2hrs photoshoot). Got more than enough to display plus day-to-day photos.
But would be nice to have a huge one with frame to display on the stand at banquet reception. I prefer not to take the ones with everyday clothes if I engaged a professional service, as I can take them with my own camera (with tripod/the help of another friend)

Maybe you can consider renting a gown and MUA and engage a free lance photographer to help you to take some shots with all soft copies returned. Then you can select one to be your AD photo with large frame. Can PM me if you need services for photographer or frames. Good Luck :D
