Anyone held wedding in 2 seperate days - tea ceremony and dinner?

Hi Loy,

I'm having my tea ceremony on Sat afternoon and dinner on Sunday night.

I having a church wedding on Sat Morning, so doesn't wan to be so tired and too rush for everything.. we decided to have separate day.

besides that, we dun have pre-wedding photo shoot, so we intend to have some photo taking session between church wedding and tea ceremony.

U having church wedding and oso wedding dinner ar... ya.. its reali tiring if u put all in the same day.. I oso tot of having it seperately in two days, but mine is a wedding lunch.. coz its sun and afraid ppl might rush off.. when is ur wedding?

we have date crushes with my future sis-in-law..
she having her wedding this dec so we have no choice but to have it in June 2010.

Hi loy,
am having church & tea ceremony on one sat, then banquet dinner the next sat (1 week apart).
wanted it separate so that not so tired....but you really got to keep in mind that there's a split day surcharge for some stuff like videography/photography packages ($100-300) and makeup artist ($100-180). And your relatives and friends will need to go down twice. Think it's a matter of personal preference la, both should be fine

Just a note me also having my tea ceremony and banquet on diff dates. so i deliberately find a PG whereby he wun charge me extra for split day but just go according to the no. of hours as mentioned in the contract. As for the MUA, it need not necessary be extra charges as make up in the mon and at night is also diff location so it depends.

I just attended my future sis-in-law wedding. I think separate day is still the best for those having church, tea ceremony and dinner. cos my sis-in-law and her hubby are so tired after their church wedding n tea ceremony. And the sis n bros are tired as they have to wake up so early. And of cos the parents will be very tired as well. and usually there will not be enough time to rest after 2 day-time sessions.

just that, PG, VG, and MUA usually will charge additional for their transport. no choice

As for myself, my church wedding will start at late morning then follow by tea ceremony. and i wan to have less stressful. and also can enjoy the hotel suit more... so chose to have it separate day....

Yup, I totally agree - I was exhausted after church and tea ceremony on Saturday, 26 Dec. And I am SOO SOO SOO glad that we had the wedding dinner on the next day. It allowed us to enjoy the wedding more - rather than be completely exhausted by the time it came to dinner!

Me. I am having mine in two consecutive days. Church and tea ceremony one day and then banquet the next day.
