Anyone Going to Settle or Has Already Settled into the UK

Hello everyone,

I’m new to this forum.

Didn’t see a thread in regards to the above subject & so I thought will be nice to start 1….

For BTBs….

1) How is your wedding preps going?
2) Will your wedding be in SG, UK or both?
3) Which part of UK will you live?
4) When will you relocate to UK?

For those who has already settled in the UK….

1) How long have you been in the UK?
2) Which part of the UK do you live?
3) Any information to share for BTBs intending to relocate to the UK?

Firstly, let me kick off this thread…..

Currently in working in SG. HTB is living in SE London. Our wedding will be next Feb in SG & will only relocate to UK after spouse visa is approved. Will hold a small celebration in UK after relocation. I have achieved about 80% of our wedding preps, trying to keep event simple & stressful so that we can truly enjoy ourselves

Hi, congratulations to you.i will be marry to a british guy this month. But we haven't know where to settle yet cos he is working here. Anyway, its depend on his contract.

Hi there, congratulations to both of you. I left UK after staying for 7 yrs over there, just for the sake of my Singaporean HTB, we will be getting married this year Nov in Sg.

So Holipops, which part of SE London you staying now? Anything you need help i might be able to give advise but hope you have already settled your life there well.

Relocation to London is usually not too difficult as it's a major capital city and well prepared to cater for people from all over the world. London has a lot of different neighbourhoods and we found it useful just to spend a couple of days to travel around with a good London map to see how areas such as Westminster, Richmond, Pimlico or Angel in the north compare before deciding where to look for a place to stay.
