Any good king-sized bed to recommend?

Hi~!

I am looking to change my old queen-sized bed to a new king-sized one because both my hubby and I think its time for an "upgrade". :)

So just want to ask whether anyone here has a brand or two to recommend? thanks!

Thanks! But i haven really heard of the brand before. are the mattresses good? you know...like whether is it reliable, comfortable and things like that. :)

I bought a mattress from orthorest, marketed by dunlopillo. Feels not bad, but one thing I realized is it's better not to have too thick a plush top. The bed sheets I bought can't reach the bottom of the mattress, lol.

Try Sealy posturepedic, it's really comfortable & suits light-sleeper like myself because My husband's movement is minimised..

We got ours from Robinson bedding section this July. There was this promotion on upgrading from Queen to king with just a top-up of $8 back then.. But I am not sure if this promotion is still available.. Nonetheless, Go check it out

You can try lady Americana too. I mentioned to get double pillowtop at a fraction of the price for 4s single pillowtop

Haha. It's quite okay lah. Local made product. Bought one queen size mattress a few months back. Quite comfortable. No complaints. Reasonable priced if u on budget like us. We looked at a few brands but too expensive for us cos we wanted to get it for a few years then change to a better one when we get our house.

But yeah, sealy is awesome. We did a staycation at hotel nostalgia at tiong bahru and had the best night sleep ever. That we removed the bed linens to check the brand of mattress and it was sealy.

Mmm...seems to have more sealy supporters in this thread. By the way does anyone know where is a good place to shop for mattresses? like a place where i can get to try every brand? planning to go with my husband on a mattress trying and shopping spree this weekend.

Yup robinsons is a good place or taka as well.

Otherwise you may try interior design expo whereby you get different brands as well. Even sealy will be there usually with the other 3 brands

I think it really depends on your budget as well as how assured you feel when you are buying the mattress.

It would be good to balance both the price and the assurance though

Mum, prob an average priced one? Cos you can't use the mattress forever, the best is to change every 5-10 years cos of all the sweat and dead skin cells that can't be removed. If can save, save! Haha. Good luck with finding the perfect mattress! :)

just bought mine at Courts, brand is Sealy costs around $3k and its not too hard and not too soft for me as i have back problems.

Good thing is that i used to have backaches when i was sleeping in my previous mattress as i'm a bit overweight but now all the pain is gone.

Do you know what are the materials used to make the Sealy mattress? For example, spring coils, polyurethane foam, memory foam or latex foam or a combination of some of these. Wanted to make sure I purchase the right one.

Yes I'd do the same. No matter how expensive, the mattress won't last forever and would eventually sag. An mid priced one might give u more reason to change every 5 years.

Hey all! Bought my mattress already :) decided to go for King Koil haha. Was considering sealy, but realised their claims for titanium a bit weird...at the price of their mattress, cannot even put 0.01% of titanium! A pure titanium false tooth already cost 10000s of dollars sia. King Koil is good value in comparison, got a lot of shops around sg also.

Hmm...from what Ive seen the titanium in their mattresses...too good to be true? titanium is really expensive.

had went for a look around and didn't find one with the hardness level that we both liked too :(
Didn't really go into the details. I just tried and feel comfortable and bought it.
Feel that its a good investment. :D
