Any good church caterers to recommend?

Try Rasel

Their receptions start at $12 per pax and they have lovely fresh flower decor!

Hi ladies,
Rasel seems really good :-) But I went to their website and the wedding packages are rather pricey...

Peaberry: The $12+ reception is for normal events?

Amanda: How much are you paying per head?

Thanks!

Olivia, I got the $12 deal too.. it was during their wedding show. Maybe you can enquire on when are they having their next show.

Thanks Nok Nok... Will drop Rasel an email :-) I was thinking of either using Lavish or Stamford, but I heard so many good things on Rasel so wanna find out more :-)

Hey Olivia,

Really sorry, my mistake.. Just spoke to my HTB over the wkend and he told me that the deal is $15 per pax, but at 12% discount.

Just met Rasel's guys. They sent a catholic coordinator for us cos we're holding our ceremony at a catholic church. Very thoughtful of them I feel. I know things will be in good hands. I topped up my package with cupcakes.. hee.. $250 for 100. That'll be my "wedding cake".

Krston is not bad too. When I spoke to them, they seemed experienced. Can consider la

For myself my wedding is in June 2010, so a bit early to book a caterer (is it?) :P

I used Royal Catering...really love their special thai food and their service. They have special seat for bride/groom and their parents too.

hey ladies

I went Rasel wedding workshop last month and booked my church wedding with them. recommended caterer!

Sounds good. How much did you pay? And why did you choose it over others?
I'm looking at Purple Sage, Lavish and Orange Clove now.

Hi Thomas,

At first I was choosing between purple sage, lavish and rasel. I had sampling with purple sage and lavish but not too my liking and they are not very flexible on my request. I need to pay a lot more if I'm using their service.
I have tried Rasel in a few wedding and we like their food and decor. Best part is they can fit into my budget. Btw, when is your wedding date? nd where do you intend to host it?

I see. Sounds good. Will certainly go for food tasting.
Oh, it will be on 26 January next year and I intend to have it at Burkhill Hall or maybe even CHIJMES or Gardens by the bay.
Where was yours?

I had my wedding at Asian Civilisation Musuem and St Mary of Angels in last October. All F&B cater by Rasel.

Chijmes sound good, I wanted to had mine there last time but the rental was too expensive. They charge me $140++ per person. Burkill Hall and garden by the bay is non air-con right? I think it will be hot for the guest even for dinner. I attended a colleague wedding at burkill in Jan this year. Sweat~

WA! So much? Can go hotel already eh.
Gardens by the bay I think have. One of the venue.

Seems like Burkill Hall is not that good.

You've been to other venues for wedding before?

You mean flower dome at garden by the bay? very expensive... Think is $18K for rental without food. At first we are thinking of having company D&D there. I been to hortpark and fort canning park. fort canning parking is an issue. hortpark very plain.. like school assembly hall. How much are you quoted for chijmes now?

You mean including rental of chijmes and food? Very cheap compare to 2 years back... How I wish time can go back. Chijmes was my dream place but it burst my budget last time.

Hi Thomas, who you contact with for Rasel, i'm gg to meet the Rasel ppl (Elsie) to discuss the details.

Will be gg for Burkill hall...gonna get cooler cos it's non aircon, sure sweat! =/

yhlwantstotravel, my sales person at rasel also Elsie. She assist me throughout my wedding and went extra mile in planning a succussful wedding for me although she's not a wedding planner.

hi eunice, elsie is good? have called a few caterers and feel that their services not very good. Looking for someone who is willing to go extra mile

just want to share with you BTBs that for catering you can get discount from this website called foodline.sg. you can just submit your order for the caterer you want using this website. i used before for my family gathering, and i really got my cashback back. hope this helps in some way..

Hi Hailey, I liaised with Elsie too. I felt that Rasel is more responsive as compared to other caterers. It took them ages to reply or they will auto send out of office. I believe this is not what you want to get, furthermore it is for once in a lifetime affair.
