let's see if i can recall, remember it's a pretty standard package. for $3790:

MTM WG rent
MTM EG keep
MTM suit keep (jacket and pants)
2 fresh flower posies (photoshoot and actual day)
makeup & hairdo (photoshoot, day, night, trial)
car decor + 2 follow-up cars

when i was shortlisin my bridal, there's other 'factors' involves beside $$$...

i agree that amanda's is a bit more pricey than some other boutiques, but i like her style and we cilck quite well. plus i personally feel she does go the extra mile in service, so i'm assured my design process all the way to the actual wedding will go well

i think she charges comparatively to silhouette cos she used to be one of their designers until she set up her own shop. why don't you make an appointment with her to see her designs?

oh yes, for the same price quoted me by silhouette, i get to keep my evening gown and a custom-made set of accessories at amanda's. so it really is a better deal too

May I know whether the price that she quoted you include free rental of tea-dress/kua? Also does she charge additional for things such as additional corsages, dry cleaning etc?

i don't really need a tea dress/kua hence didn't ask, so can't help you on this one.

i think she provides 6 corsages, additional corsages at a few dollars each, can't recall how much exactly. oh yes, drycleaning at $50 for wedding gown only (assuming evening gown won't get dirty cos usually only studio shoot).

let us know if her style suits you and what you think after your appt!

I personally find Amanda's package more worth cos she throws in a set of brand new necklace with matching earrings made with swarosvki crystals for me to keep! Anyway, e accessories is beautiful!! One is sure spoilt 4 choices! I don't even know which one to chose, in e end, i go with e one amanda n fiona say is e nicest. They r quite flexible, u can made for yr wedding gown or evening gown. I made e accessories for my wedding gown. My hubby like e necklace very much. He thought its very flattering n he's impressed that fiona handmade them herself.

and hope you find a boutique that suits your style soon too

esther, agree with you that the crystal sets i've seen at amanda's are very nice! amanda mentioned that this choker i tried costs about $200+, and if it fits my gown design i can get something like that done =D guess if i need a second set for my EG, i'll get my friend to make something a little cheaper, she's also into crystal necklaces but she's just starting out so she charges less

weddin over in sep 03...

amanda did a mock up 4 mi b4 i signed up with her ie: wg, tiara, veil...
she will check with u wat u prefer n will advise accordin...

as 4 my gown design, its a bustier bodice, in aline skirt with a layer of organza the skirt...
the lace details r in silver n gold...
the details r scattered over the bodice of my gown till my organza train...
u might b able 2 c it @ her shop since i had returned since sep 03...

btw r u lookin @ a full lace wg???
i did enquiry on full lace wg durin my wg design...
n was told i gonna top up some $ if its a full lace wg...

Isn't the mock up gown the same as the plain gown most brides try during the 1st fitting?
or it's another one?
If it's another one, does that mean you need to add $$$ extra?

the mock up ( b4 u sign up with her ) is done with the otr wg amanda has...
its onli 2 let u hv a feel of the diff designs on u...
the plain gown will b the mock up durin the 1st fittin ( when u had engaged her ) n had cfm on the outline of ur wg eg: bustier in aline, spagetti in ballgown, etc...
hope tat i had explained myself clearer this time...

i hvnt go thru my folders 2 check out if i hv anythin 2 show...

my eg is a reddish pink 2 pcs outfit...
a toga top ( with a elaborate brooch ) n aline skirt with a organza train...

seems that Amanda's thread is really quiet... just want to share with all who are interested in Amanda that she's really impressive... I've visited her twice and had a really fruitful time... of all the bridal shops I've visited, i find her gowns most creative and most memorable, really gave me the "wow" feeling which i was looking for... that's y i've made up my mind to sign up with her... she was the only designer that really spend time (i was there for 2 hrs for each enquiry session!) and effort to communicate with me even before i sign up... the rest just let me try the standard 3 gowns during enquiry... becos her pre-sales service is so good & the fact that she seems genuinely sincere, i feel that i am definitely in safe hands with her...

i'm not helping her to advertise... but i thot it will be useful to share my experience with other brides-to-be
