Hi, I was wondering for tea ceremony, do you also invite your mum's side relatives too? By the way, my mum keep asking for the no. of wedding banquet tables that my hubby want to give. So I am not sure how this "negotiation for tables" work? Because we intend to share the cost together. So does it mean my hubby has to pay for it? or the ang baos received from that no. of tables go to my mum?? Apparently my mum is clueless too. My mum just followed "the crowd". ha.

tea cermony normally will be from both sides.. depending on if the relatives wanna come

as for the wedding tables, looks like its the tradition of giving a certain no of tables to the bride side and the bride parents will keep all the ang bao for the given tables. If the tables are not enough, your parents will have to buy from the groom side... think this is how some of them work..

but some parents would just dont bother bout the tables and ang paos.. let the couple keep

you can discuss with your hubby how many tables he wanna give to her and maybe split the cost with him??

Hi, I am urgently looking to hire someone to coordinate my tea ceremony i.e guide my relatives through the procedures and customs for an hour or two.

Does anyone know of someone I can contact? I feel that an outsider to direct the whole thing is more neutral and both our sides aren't familiar with the tea ceremony procedures.

Thanks!
