Advices on Divorce

After 5yrs of marriage, I decide to divorce my husband due to differences in our personality, characters which led to communication breakdown. I read and realized that I have no ground to file for an immediate divorce. I was wondering if I opt for separation to be filed, can I date it 3yrs back so that I still can go ahead with the divorce immediately or the 3yrs separation period can only occur after 3yrs of marriage? How will the paperwork be done in this case? We are in the midst of selling our flat (waiting for payment from HDB), is it better to file for the divorce now or wait till cash have been collected? Can we split the money ourselves instead of having the court to decide for us?

u can back date it back 3 years and immediately divorce. you no need any prove or deeds of separation to proceed with that.

your husband and you just need to agree with each other and find a lawyer to proceed with the divorce. it'll take a few months until u get the "DNA" and u can be announced single and re marry again.

the flat after 5 years u can sell it. if before 5 years u will need to surrender it to HDB at a loss. something like 20% of the actual value. so it's deductable from your CPF.

u can go file for divorce as it take some time, a few months if everything go well. without flat, children. it's easy.

u can slit the money by your own. how u want to split depend on you. no need lawyer or government.

the court do not care about it unless it's contested. meaning your husband fight for a certian amount which u disagree.

it's all depend on your husband. if he agree everything will be ok
