Advice needed: Solemization Ceremony during AD Banquet

is this thread still active?

i'm just wondering if im booking wedding dinner with the hotel but i want a counter for solemnization and tea ceremony by the pool on the same day, will they usually provide it to you free or i need to negotiate with the hotels to get it as a package (counter for solemnization + wedding dinner)?

have you guys done that before?
what are the hotels are known for this?
how then can i get it for free...? whahaha
 
hi nutnut, u need to neg wif the hotel. some hotels charge for solemnization area. some hotels throw in as part of the package after u request for it...
usually if u do it immed b4 the banquet, they'll loan u a small rm to solemnize & hold the tea ceremony. if u intend to do it at a pool n have reception, then they may charge as the duration is longer.

all hotels offer. u need to ask...
 
i also intend to have it right after the 1st march in. save time and money. hopefully the hotel is alright to put a nice table for us.
 
I am intending to have my solemnization before the banquet.

Will it be better to do it after the first march in and do it before the dinner start (645 to 7pm)?
 
hi ladies,
here's some consideration to hold solomnisation during banquet:
1) is there way to prevent guests from entering the ballroom / restaurant in the mist of solomnisation
2) for those guest that is already present in ballroom / restaurant, will you be sure they will remain solemn during the whole solmnisation?
3) if most of the guest not able to turn up before 7pm (a common scenario for Singapoore wedding), is it ok to have only 1/4 of guest witnessing?

In MOP, I will think to do it before wedding banquet is better. If hotel or restaurant has a small room, it will even be better.

I also plan to have my solemnization just before our luncheon. Will also be having the tea ceremony at the hotel to save time!
