Hi, I need help on two things.. Well I suppose as time goes by I will find that I will need help for alot of things but right now, two things weigh on my mind. Hopefully I can get some advice here.

1) ROM and tea ceremony dress
I'm a big girl and need abt a size 18 dress.. I've looked online at Wetseal and some other China site. Might hit Coast this weekend to look..but any other ideas where I can get a dress? I don't want to pay more than SGD300.. and it should be wearable after my ROM. Also I need a tailor for a kebaya.. My usual tailor wants to charge to abt 800SGD for one! I think that's exhorbitant leh..

2) Anyone can recommend and tell me the price gauge for a photographer for ROM? Possibly the even itself and some outdoor indoor photo taking as I probably will not sigh up for a wedding package at all.

Thanks in advance!!

lify: where is coast? are u a peranakan? so you are wearing a kebaya? Cos i was thinking of unique ideas for wedding gowns and just thought that I can look into kebaya as my paternal grandma is a peranakan..

btw, for ROM usually it comes in a 3hr package as an hr ala carte is more ex. if you would like to take some outdoor indoor shoot on ur ROM, can discuss with your PG..

this is my ROM package to share with you

hi there, i feel nowadays ala carte is better because you get to mix and match what your likes together. like you can find the mua style that you like most, the gown you like and you might want to customise or buy from those gowns shop and the pg find the style you like most.

i came across this company Unique-colours which i find the videography and photography style are very nice and popular and they always have very good comments

sorry for the late reply..

@min_min_87 - yah i'M Peranakan.. i think my elders will want me to wear a kebaya for the tea ceremony. i'll be using the kerosangs my grandma left me but still haven't found a tailor yet.. hopefully soon. Coast is a UK shop, the have a branch in Raffles City Mall.

thanks all for the photographer suggestions. I've been lazy but will have to start preparation seriously soon!

lify: I sort of fell in love with all things perenakan after the little nonya show.. kebaya will definitely look really good but i expect it to be very expensive.. do start ur preps early.. let me know if you need help with looking for pg. I strongly recommend him and a few other brides have met him and like him too.. really need to find a pg that you will be comfortable to have on your big day
