Advice for PLus Size brides

So Reductil works for you? Btw what you mean by irregular menses? U don't have your menses regularly? For me I also have irregular menses but I have them too many times.

I'm contemplating abt taking Reductil. Of coz I understand that it is individual's body on the effects. Will the GP monitor the progress? How much roughly is a box of pills?

I first started to took Reductil in last yr.. Drastic results only can see during the first 1-2 mths.. I reduced abt 8-9kg within two months. Realized the effect is not that much after that.. Till date, i lose abt 10kg in abt 4 mths.. in between, i did stop for abt 2 mths as run out of med.

Last time, my menses are so irregular till maybe one yr, i can only come 3-4 times. My mom is also like that, thus, i tot it is family gene.. so during one of my routine check up, i ask the doc whats the reason behind it.. so she arrange me for a further check up n found out i got cyst.. he say it is the reason of my irregular menses and also my heavy weight.. thats how i first got my prescription of reductil. after slimming down abit, when for another scanning, my cyst was gone... so happy...

So during my last follow up at K K, i ask the doc for 6mth prescription at one go coz i scare i might not be able to get it so easily outside. keke... u can get the prescription and buy at any pharmacy outside.. one month dosage is abt 150+.

Doc told me this is a more expensive med but with less side effects.

My co-cordinator cum MUA is Elson. He recommended Ben for my photoshoot. My package has 2 MTM (WG + EG). Was hoping to change to OTR so I could exchange for more photos.. but hopes were dashed cos of my big size. I went to GHA to try.. nothing suits..all cannot wear! Didn't get a chance to try the teadress or KUA. It's so depressing... I still wish I don't hv to go through weight losing but no choice now.. hv to do it liao. I hv 4 months to lose cos my AD is in Dec, PS probably by Sep.
Where can I get reductil? any side effect like heart beat fast,or if stop will weight gain back double, is it expensive?
Sigh!! I need a miracle!

Thanks for being so open and sharing your experience. For me, I have my menses almost daily with just a break of 1 week? But it's not heavy flow. I've checked with a couple of GPs but they said it's pretty ok. As in nothing to worry about.

Anyway Royal, I remembered 1 experience I had at 1 BS at Tanjong Pagar, I had gone in for consultation and wanted to look at their gowns. To see designs, materials etc NOT to try. Next the consultant turned me down and just told me flat that there isn't size for me.

I was fuming and I just said I'm not trying just want to look but forget it. I'm not interested in your BS anymore. And I left and will not patronize this BS again.
 
For my case, is when I signed up, he kept mentioned sure have my size and agreed to give me MTM for both. I also like their gowns and found him sincere and their price were really good, so I signed up. Now, I am not sure if I will regret or not. Wish me luck!

I also have irregular mensus..went for scan an doc didn't find anything wrong. he suggested to go for blood test whch I hv not gone. Wondering what has blood test gotta to do with this irregularity.
 
hi BT, same here, I have the same problem, I lose more on the bottom than the top, my huge arms are still huge

Hi Royal, I didn't experience much side effects from Reductil except ocassional mood swings and sometimes, constipation but drinking plenty of water helps, so not a big issue. But one thing to note, after we stop taking Reductil, still got to be very disciplined with our diet to maintain it, if not, the weight sure bounced back. I guess it's the same with every weight loss product.

u must be feeling 'low blood' to have menses almost everyday... keke... jus joking.. but did u check with a specialist? this kind of thing better dun play play..

My AD is Dec 5 this year. Probably taking my PS in early Sep. May I see your photos too? Maybe I'll try the pills. Will also try to "treat" my irregular mensus problem asap. Want to plan for family once married.. not getting any younger liao..How "young" are you gals?
 
Me also took reductil and now im trying to maintain them after i finished my 3 boxes.. think i better start again, only left 2 mths for me... ARRGH!!!

Thanks for adding me in facebook. U really have quite a number of lovely photos. Btw is your gown MTM? I find it's rather flattering on you which is very good. But can't really see the details of the gown as the photos are main half bodied or too far. I like the train as well as your veil.

Thanks. the pics uploaded in facebook are kinda of 'steal' from my bridal studio. i went to view the edited pics and asked the lady if i can have the soft copies that day.. the lady was only telling me to copy the unedited pics since we top up money to get back all the soft copies. but then, my clever hubby went to copy all the files in the cd into his laptop..

i have the individual edited pics but din uploaded it.. too many.. total abt 100pcs.

come to think of it, i m quite lucky.. coz my AD WG was kinda of new. it was just newly done when i went for my first fitting as they are just sewing up the beads.. n i fall in love with the train at the first sight.. n furthermore, it got sleeves.. i dare not wear sleeveless as i got big arms.

n as for my EG, i got a free MTM EG from my bridal.. perhaps they dun have my size or i m jus lucky to have a very nice co-ordinator... but to be frank, i dun really fancy my EG.. out of 100pcs that are divided into 2 albums, i din even chose a front or full view of my EG.. perhaps the hairdo sucks big time and i hate that outlook, so i din chose.
 
hey girls,

any impacts on taking reductil so far? Me afraid that taking it will cause irregular menses.

Today, just went for my gown selection. A bit sad cos not a lot of gown suit me.
But finally, I find one off-shoulder WG. At least, it can cover my big arm. 3 more months before my PS, hope that I can slim down more.

Indeed it's smart of your hubby. But not every studio will be so flexible. Anyway I did notice you didn't put much of your EG pics but I just thought that you prob didn't have enough space. Mmm... pardon me for saying but I did feel your EG wasn't flattering for you.

I'm 31 and I don't intend to have bb. So just just be romantic 2 forever... oh... + a dog.

I'm 31 this year.

Went for my first gown fitting last nite and I'm very pleased with almost all the gowns I've tried *lol* Tried 7 WGs and 5 EGs ... all OTR
Now KIV 2 WGs which I really love and couldn't quite decide yet. KIV 1 OTR EG too ... however, I might take MTM EG upon 2nd thoughts, I have a MTM option in my pkg.

I think you can include size 14-size 22 under plus size range. You may refer to US/UK wedding gown websites. their gowns usually range between these sizes.Some of these websites has size charts that tells more about the measurement of each size. Hope this help.

Actually I think my BS has quite a good selection of gowns, even for the plus-size brides, most coordinators there would recommend us to try the OTR packages first, rather than straightaway MTM.

Sigh... i'll have as much problems when I choose mine coz I can't take halter too. Makes the arms look even fatter. Off the shoulder makes my shoulders look sloppy. I'm not comfortable with bustier & spaghetti as I don't wear them without any cardigan...

I've decided to go sleeveless for my bustier WG even though my arms are kinda huge. Reason being my WG's design will take attention away from my arms, I guess people will notice the embroidered sash more than my arms *lol*
But for my EG, I'll get my BS to make me something detachable to cover up my arms, but I'm definitely not going to use a shawl :P that's kinda dated

I think on the AD, the attention will not be on your arms. But need to take note for PS as usually i feel it's quite obvious and moreover a person will look 30% fatter on photos / tv. So the poses and posns u make & stand will be impt.

Yep definitely not shawl. So auntie. hee...
