dear all
i am having a headache choosing between hotels. lunch or dinner?
i like to feel grand upon entering a hotel and good food for the guests. hopefully price not too high..
Price
1) Traders Hotel has the most comprehensive package at $808 nett (lunch) and $1088 nett (dinner). everything all in.
2) Conrad Golden Pheony Restaurant quotes me abt $1280 nett (lunch / dinner). wine, beer and bridal suite exclusive.
3) Fullerton quotes abt $1175 nett (lunch) and 1730 nett (dinner). beer and wine exclusive. i think can only afford lunch for this hotel.
Food
1) Traders has quite good food as it is part of the shangri-la group. the after-taste of its 8-treasure soup still linger the next morning
2) I simply love golden pheony set menu - individual serving with great taste and very creative arrangement by the chef! restaurant manager agrees to serve the set menu for my guests
3) i am not sure of fullerton food but i assumed it should be great as well. my frd told me its not worth the money paid.
Ambience
1) Traders entrance and ballroom is ok only.
2) i feel good upon entering conrad hotel. the golden pheony restaurant has a cosy feel, but may lack the normal ballroom feel. its acceptable for lunch i think..
3) i feel the best and most relaxed upon entering fullerton. i am comfortable with the Straits Ballroom but my partner doesnt really like this one. sigh.
the wedding planner is great in suggesting tea ceremony at hotel followed by lunch.
Appreciate some inputs from you ladies and guys !
