Will you engage a professional photographer if your wedding only consists of a simple tea ceremony, solemnization and wedding lunch of 1 table of family at a restaurant?

Maybe don't need the PG for the full day.
Just enough time to take nice photos of everyone for a nice keepsake.

I'm considerating this too. But mine is like a solemnization + high tea reception in a hotel for around 2-3hrs. Estimated how much will this cost?

i think sld be $600-$800 for 3hours as normal charges are usually $200/$250 an hour?

unless you go for those really freelancer? then maybe below $500 but i guess it is better to put aside at least $600 for a good one?

Yup.
Maybe you can plan the few hours like this, can adjust here and there:

0.5hrs for ROM Solemnization (get photos of the proceedings and details)
1hr for high tea reception (get group photos with family and guests)
1.5hrs for portrait session (get some nice photos of you and your partner)
