Hey cupcake, cute nick! heheh... my hubby used to call me that.. er..for your problem right.. i also experience that. my MUA told me to swipe some toner onto my eyelids before i apply my eyeliner, the rational is toner has alcohol, can make ur eyelids less oily. she told me to avoid putting eyeliner on lower lids too. coz it will smudge...u wanna try? coz i tried, okie lah...under control.

Hi ladies, another budget recommendation is Silky Girl! It's cheap, smooth and not scratchy at all. Good control for the pencil and easy to use!

Hi all!

i'm using 1 dat eye tattoo eyeliner also, as i have like super super super oily lids, this one still smudges on me but not as much as others.

Hearing the many raves for MAC fluidline, bought one in blacktrack to try but didn't work out for meeeee! =( so i'm letting it go. Used only 2 times!

I have very oily eye lids, so many brands of mascara and eyeliners smudged on me.

Brands of eyeliners that smudged: KOSE and Ethusis

Janice,
Thanks for the post. I'm actually feel like buying the 1 day tattoo liquid eyeliner to try out.

hi

i have one brand new liquid eyeliner fr The Face Shop.

Bought on impluse due to the salegirl recommendation. But i realised i not a liquid liner person...so wan to sell it away at a cheap price. bought @ $26+ now I am selling for $15.

it's smudged free and v easy to use...

pls contact me at [email protected]...

Janice,
Great to know u found The One (eyeliner that can last whole day)!

How much does Kate eyeliner cost? Which Kanebo counter did u go?

Those gals who have oily skin like me,
I learned my lesson from my $100 wasted on 3 branded mascaras that smudged on me later! Before buying the mascara/eyeliner, please go to counter ask salesgal apply the eyeliner on u, then u go walk around for 2 hours. See if it smudges later?

it still smudges, slightly! lol, yet to find one that sticks on the whole day without smudging. Now left mascara, all still smudges. =( i bought the KATE one online actually. Cause i heard that the KATE counters dun bring them in already. Always OOS. Around $17 i think.

Agree with you, ask the sales girl to try it on for you then go shopping and see how it lasts on your skin. Never be afraid to try try try!

Janice,
U can try out Fibrewig mascara from Sasa. It's less than $20, cheaper than branded ones. It stays on my oily eyelids whole day. The worst case is only a few bits of fibre dropping onto the undereye areas in mid day.

I'll bring this mascara for my wedding makeup to prevent being a panda.

I read an article. Eyeliner brush form lasts the longest, followed by eyeliner pen form, and then pencil form.

I think you're right, the eyeliner form. hahaha, anyways, i saw the KATE supersharp liner at the counters today, do grab it quick! around $16 i think.

Okie, will try it once my other mascara runs out. Now i'm putting fake eyelash. Nice! hahahha. Ooooo, you're getting married soon? congrats!

Hahahhaa, at first also so hard to get it right. Need at least half an hour! But i bought the eyelash clip so it's muchhhhh easierrr! hahaha. Must put on your big day! pretty pretty.

Hey cynthia, i'm not sure whether the kate counters still have the liner though, you can try it out. =D

i dunno if it is my eyeliner pencil but i seem to have difficulty drawing it on my eye lid. dunno if it because the pencil is not sharp.
just trying out and never succeed enough to go out of house.
where should the pencil or liquid eye liner be drawing exactly?

irnixs ! its not the pencilor the eyeliner .. its a shortage of practice and expertise ..

trying pressing one eye closed wid one hand .. and slowly draw a line along the eye lashes from the centre to the ends ..

I swear by Bourjois liquid eyeliner. About $20 from watson's. Its the best. I wear liquid eyeliner everyday, for past 2 years. Does not smudge ever; I find the soft brush easier to use, coz it naturally follows the lash line to achieve the "winged" look at the tip. I found Loreal's/other brands' thicker, felt pen style harder to use.

Hi,

I am a makeup artist, I strongly recommend Bobby Brown, but you have to invest in the brush.
they works well together.

hi,

canmake's liquid liner is good! The brush is stiff enough to prevent smudges during applying and it dries quickly. And even if u rub yr eyes it prolly just peels off. It doesnt smudge at all lah.

Im using Chanel pencil eyeliner, it is very good and used for a years or so, it wnt smudge and last ard 8hrs.

for liquid eyeliner, i bought from a spree under beautymaker. cheap n good..the liner is very fine so it is very easy to draw and most of all, it wnt dry the skin on the eyearea

My eyelids tend to get oily after half a day/a few hours, even waterproof pencil liners will still smudge & stain my upper eyelids.
Recently I've tried Fasio liquid eyeliner. Dries fast & does not smudge at all, even under hot & humid weather. Cheap & good! Especially when they have 20% discounts now & then, even more reasons to buy.

Hi Janberry,

MAC has liquid liner? Or is it the gel type? I've tested the gel type only for a while, not sure if it will stain my upper lids but I heard from someone it does.

the one in a small container one,i'll definitely stain or else how it gonna stay for whole day,i'm in my 2nd bottle now but trying another one japan best now, call what, tatoo 1 day..

It's some 12 hours tatoo or something, available at Watson's? I've tried it on my hand, colour not dark but very difficult to remove. The saleslady gave me some cleansing oil but can't come off totally.

The gel type stain my upper lids as in just below my brows, my brow bone protrudes out, so the lids usually get stained by pencil/gel liners.

I'm using the tattoo one day liquid eye liner too! And gosh, i have to say it is good, but DIFFICULT to remove! i have to use an eye make up remover to remove it.. Oil or warm water don't do any good!

SANA eyelier, I would highly recommend

Whole day no smudge.. Very funny though when I couldn't wash it off with my cleansing oil.. But comes off with water.
Guess its resistant to oil so it won't smudge even when your eyelid releases oil
Works great for me

Hi,

I also have oily eyelids, and i find liquid eyeliner hard to use...

Recently my fren introduced gel eyeliner to me, it's easy to use and smudge free too... During CNY, when the weather was so hot, imagine i applied in the morning and all the way till night, there was no smudge and it did not go away... very good...

I'm using Maybelline's gel eyeliner... think u can get it from Watson's or anywhere with Maybelline's counter... $19.90, comes with a pointed brush... Highly Recommended!

I have super super super super oily eyelids. I tried applying powder, foundation, eye shadow...before using the eyeliner, it doesn't help.

Imagine, my eyelids are so oily to the extent that half an hour after the application, smudge on both upper and lower eyelids. Last time I tried the Maybelline liquid eyeliner & it stays! Unfortunately, this product was later replaced by the maybelline gel liner and it doesn't work for me! for gals who have super super oily eyelids like me, the maybelline gel liner doesn't work. don't waste $.

I really need to find a really good eyeliner that will not smudge on super duper hyper oily eyelids & can stay the whole day until we remove it...
