now u all making me feel like going for a short weekend getaway. looking at where I can go with my measly budget. sigh...
 


I am back from my lunch... reading my book now... and just nw it was raining... a sudden rain then a sudden sunshine... weird weather... something must be wrong.
 
Where have u been Ceci?? RaRa, me too... thinking of a short getaway, but think I shld save up my leave for a long break in June..

Vietnam is pretty hot now. My BIL is there on project as well, in and out of SG. But I'd prefer to visit Cambodia, esp Siem Reap. Thinking of Oz in June.. hb likes it nice and cold. If got budget then think abt Moscow... but I think my car is going to "drink" my budget liao.. :P
 
dunno..if go ho chin minh maybe july or so..but no cfm, unless go their buy a wife back..haha

i went KL lor... with friends... then genting.. need a break.. but this is still not a very good getaway... next month planning a short trip with hubby... and i wanna go japan by end of the year... so many things i wanna do! and i don't feel like working for the whole year haha!

ah siao you want to get a wife liao ah... get vietnam one better... very submissive .. kekeke... maybe can try '7 x' also won't kick you off... maybe still a virgin also.. kekeke
 
i'm planning a ho chi minh-siem reap trip later this yr...

for now, i'm really looking at super short getaway. but cameron/frasers are so inaccessible and so bo hua for 2d/1n considering the time taken to get there. wanna go some highland and be surrounded by greenery. anyone been to berjaya hills? it seems nearer to KL than the others.

rara fraser is good!!! i drove with some friends to fraser about 3 years back... very nice place... just book the accomodation on your own.. then drive up.. very cheap.. anyway i got the accomodation thru my company... very subsidised... only $20 per night... one big room with 2 super single beds...i dun like cameron... go bintan lor... 3 days 2 nights also very relaxing... or go Palace of the golden horses... heard its quite nice... normally short getaway i go KL, genting or desaru... the beach resort not bad.. cheaper than bintan also.. cos everything in ringgit.

ah siao haha.. maybe 7x a week also cannot...

For me I would wa to go Egypt... been telling my hub my honeymoon wa to go Egypt but he insist on going to Japan... must be too see pretty gals..

Next time may ask hb to try driving up to fraser/cameron. Better to rent a car than to drive ours though. Besides, civil servants can book the chalet there at dirt cheap prices.. hmm.. not bad idea.

cecilia, went krabi last oct and erm, sentosa last june. don't really wanna go beach resort again leh. i also know fraser is good, but we can't drive up leh... our lao chia cannot take it. and we're not civil servants haha. *sigh*

i guess if we don't drive then berjaya hills seems to be the best option liao... even public transport to cameron/fraser is ex. bleah.
 
but its true civil servants get better rates.. i'm one of them ma.. kekke.. dirt cheap... but i still feel local chalets very ex.. especially NTUC ones..

ggal rent car in m'sia to drive up lor.. cheaper... and not so 'eye catching' as compared

Ya.. that's what I said lor Ceci.. rent car to drive up. Prolly need a SUV/MPV type for the luggage. Last time our frens did rent a 'mini' SUV for our trip to KL.. can sit 6/7 pple, can't rem how much but it's cheap la. So much more convenient too.
 
RaRa, you want to tumpang then help me w the nick 1st...:P Rental of car from JB la.. else take coach to KL and rent also can. Depends on whether you want to have flexibility to stop anywhere enroute to KL or not.

I just came back frm lunchie!

went to crystal jade at tampines mall with colleagues and boss to have dim sum lunch....boss' bday.....

Fwah.. Salsa.. good lunchie hor! Make me feel like going to Crystal Jade tonight... I have a sudden craving for their meatball porridge. :P~~ Esp on a rainy day like this...

Oh dun bother w their desserts la.. so long nvr change the menu :P

next mth going to bintan for a spa retreat....
a longer holiday....see how lah. Tempted to join a grp to a trip to Turkey but it clashes with CommunicAsia...

Why you need to go to CommunicAsia meh? Quite interesting la.. I went to one before at Expo. Turkey is also one of my must-go places!!
 
ggal....nothing to do with the menu, but the quality

Boss and I ordered the 'hong dou sha'...but came out to be so watery like 'hong dou tang'. So boss made noise and they brought it back. Came back with the dessert...but obviously added corn starch to it and the taste of red beans is totally gone. So we din eat at all and boss complaint. In the end, they din charge us for the red bean soup
 
we are participating mah. The trip is exactly 1 week before CommunicAsia....but I have to be ard to prepare for the exhibition....brochures, backdrops etc etc......boss will not be happy if I apply leave

I have not think of the design for the new brochure and backdrop yet. Si liao...
 
Eeew.. corn starch???? That's crappy. Anyway I dun eat CJ dessert except maybe the zi mah hu (sesame paste). The best traditional dessert I've tasted is still in Chinatown.. Er Gu Tang Shui.. shiok and cheap... fresh also. But usually sold out by afternoon/lunchtime.

Oh so close to ur exhibition, better dun go liao. Next time la.. sure have many opportunities! SAve up in the meantime lor.
 
yah...added to it to make it looks thicker like 'hong dou sha'. Crappy! Still wanna argue with my boss.....cant even pass me still wanna tell my boss their dessert got starch added to it.

Yes yes! Er Gu Tang Shui is the best!!! I like the sesam paste too! Yummy! *drooling*

Salsa, if were me, I'll ask the restaurant manager to come and taste the dessert herself and tell me if nice or not. If she says nice, then I say ok you finish it yourself and dun bill me! :P
 

She's obviously lying! Then you never suan her how come her product knowledge so bad?? Complain to the mgt la... haha... maybe can get lifetime free dessert at CJ.. kekeke..
