Fatty - checked. Lumps of unaccounted for skin folds appearing all over my body.
Oily - checked. Face oil can cook a nice meal. Heck, can prob even deep fry chicken. :P

G~gal, my own niang leh, of cos I must go!! I already missed once in 2005 cos I was in Japan... luckily it was not anniversary that I missed.

I don't wanna be bao leh... I already got a big bao face liao... so saddening to call myself a bao. hahaha...

I go qing ming almost without fail every year since young. For many years my children are also going and they always look forward to it cos it is like picnic to them - we prepared food/drinks and eat at every stop. And to top it all, we normally have family lunch/dinner after the qing ming.

I am going on sunday afternoon.

I must eat bfast one coz I have to have a cup of kopi every morning.

When young....Qing Ming is like a gathering for my family de...frm the father side. We will rent a bus. Everyone will alight at every stop and pay respects. When comes to the last stop which is my "lao-die's house"....no one follows.
 
actually that bag is damn nice lah... too bad it's so ex.

simpleman, that is a very good tradition to maintain. inculcates a sense of familial closeness in your kids too. unfortunately our qingming is a very chop chop one. and it's never a family event. we usually only go as a family on death anniversaries.
 
wow are u all referring to 'sao mu' as in really in graveyards and all?

I've never done. We only go to 2 columbariums which are side by side.
 
Our qingming prayers are usually done at a Buddhist temple somewhere near Siglap cos that's where my grandfather's tablet is placed. Usually my aunt and grandma will prepare some food and bring there. We wait for our turn to light joss sticks and pray then that's it... go home after that.
 
ceci, Ya 3 stops. Bright Hill, Chua chu kang (at 5 different tomb locations) and Steven road (this one have to climb hill) - beside PIE
 
haha ya... the actual ritual is less than half an hour. but the time spent in jams and looking for a table to place the offerings are horrid.

saw it frm tv before those families going to the graveyards gotta wake up really early....
 
salsa, we used to wake up very early and go very early before the sunrise and always caught in the jam. Now we realize that afternoon is better - much less traffic and it is much faster. Less crowd. A bit hot at times - really good because most kia su singaporeans go early in the morning.
 
People....I have made reservation at Cartels...
but then, their last reservation is at 7pm, can only hold for 15mins. So if Ceci/Rara can reach ard 7pm....go in 1st hor. Reservation made under Pauline not salsa hor
