3rd March In??

hey peeps, have anyone heard of 3rd March in? My BS could offer me a packages with 2 EG, so i was wondering is there any 3rd March in? or is it possible to arrange for it? Will be inauspicious?
I like the idea of having 2 EG, but without the 3rd March in, it will defeat the purpose of having a 2nd EG..
Initially I thought of just wearing it for "sending the guests off" (as I want all photo taking with the same 1st EG), but, like I say, it defeat the purpose.. unless I have half of the photo taking with 1st EG, and 2nd half with 2nd EG..
** headache ** any advise...??
 


Hi, usually for brides with a 3rd outfit, they change into it to say goodbye to the guests at the end of banquet. I don't think there is a need for 3rd March it...

Maybe you can take photos with some guests in 1 of the EG and some other guests in the 3rd one. So, at least can keep some memories.

I've attended a friend's wedding.
And they had 3 march in.

She had 5 gowns in total!
1. recep
2. 1st march in
3. 2nd march in
4. 3rd march in + photo taking
5. Sending off guests
 
Davejanet..so 2nd march-in = changing during 2nd dish.. how about 3rd march-in?

i also would like to try it..but my htb said i sound like doing fashion show

I intend to have a few outfit change also. but alot of pple say it's not possible. so sad. I'm having church wedding + wedding lunch, follow by tea ceremony.

My intention

Church ceremony (Wedding gown 1)
1st march in (wedding gown 2)
2nd march in (Evening gown 1) & take photos with some guests
3rd march in (Evening gown 2) & take photos with remaining guests

If time permits, wanna change to my tea dress to sending off guests & proceed for tea ceremony.

I still got 2 outfits not utilise. SAdz...

Before church wedding ceremony, welcome guests (1)
Church wedding ceremony, for the walk down the aisle. (2)
Reception right after the ceremony (3)

At the banquet, you could welcome guests in one gown or dress. (4)
Then change into another for 1st march in. (5)
Then another change for 2nd march in. (6)
Finally, a third change for the sending off of your guests. (7)

So that's 7 opportunities for different dresses/gowns on your wedding day. Just need to make sure you don't need hairstyle and make up changes for every gown change at each venue. i.e. 1 setting at church for 3 looks, another setting for 4 looks at your banquet venue.

But most likely not enough time for you to eat.
But food not important! Looking pretty is!

Or you can ask your guests to come early and stay late to see your personal fashion show. Make sure they don't leave until they shower you with positive comments. Lock them up if you have to.
 
My time schedule as follow

9am: Groom fetch bride
9.20am: Leave the house after praying to ancestors and eat "tang yuan"
9.45am: Reach church and start ceremony at 10am sharp
11am: Church ceremony ended. photo taking

(During the church ceremony: can only have 1 change in outfit due to lack of time. No reception at church cos having hotel wedding lunch)

11.45am: Reach hotel. Change outfit & hairstyle
1pm: banquet starts

Actually another problem for me to solve. Because i have already paid for a hairstyle change for 2nd march in. This take up some time also.

hahaha.. now i got to think of ways to lock my guest up. haha...
 
Orh, wedding lunch then quite easy to drag. People no need to rush home for following day, they can go shopping after your wedding.

Anyway...

How to lock your guests up:
1. Bluff them, say got Lucky draw.
2. Deploy rabid attack dogs at the door.
3. Got one friend employ magician/comedian to entertain his guests for his wedding lunch. Maybe you can hire Cirque Du Soleil.

Anyway, ask the hotel to bring the food up to your room after the banquet for you to eat. Once you clear first march in, go straight back to do your make up and hair. Ask the hotel to bring a set of all the courses up to your room.
 
hahaha... gd idea!!! i'm currently checking with wedding planner to see what they can recommend any magician for my wedding. If still not enuff time, then play some games bah. hope it helps.. wwill go and buy some prizes to standby
 
You should also consider hiring Kumar to perform his/her drag queen stand up comedy. Can even try selling tickets to the gig. Your guests sure stay behind one. Also confirm your guests will laugh until they cannot move.
They'll even queue up to take photos with him/her...
No, wait... You want your guests to queue up to take picture with you...
 
there is some event company.. lately i attended 1 company function whereby they ve casino before the dinner and even ve palmist there.. that may drag some times for u.
 
My theme was supposed to be fairytale theme. hmm.. dun think casino is suitable. deviating further and further from my original theme. hehee... thanks for your suggestion anyway. hehe..
 
fairytale.. i also seen some ppl engaged the entertainment company to ve some cartoon character shown during the wwedding show.. keke.. jz like going to disney.. :P
 
you know avatar... you sound exactly like a girlfriend of mine. she had lucky draw and games at her wedding, and she had 3 gowns change. plus, she used disney princesses as themes for her wedding... are you her???

anyway, ahgargar... what kinda' reception are you referring to? just a normal tea reception or cocktail reception before the wedding banquet?

if it's tea reception, you can wear something simpler like a cocktail dress. but something more extravagant. like a wide skirt cocktail dress. whichever the case, choose something outstanding to differentiate yourself from guests.

if it's reception before wedding banquet, just wear your wedding gown for your first march in.
 
Bliss> My wedding is not over yet. on 23 Oct. so probably it's not me. hehe...I'm having a pinky princess theme and going ahead with my lucky draw and games. hehehe...Already bought the prizes. Finally confirmed on what to wear. Total 8 outfits. 1 for church, 3 for hotel lunch banquet, 1 for tea ceremony, 3 for outdoor photoshoot after the wedding ceremony.
 
hehe.. last min custom made a wedding gown for church to be in line with my pink theme. hehe.. quite reasonably priced and happy with my purchase. Pic for sharing...

Yes. My AD over already. I solemnised on 090909 and wedding was 271209.

haha... ok.. no wonder. you looked really pretty in your pre-wedding photos too.

it's good to do simple wedding really. because it's going to pass by very fast. really... so, you'll want to just enjoy that day without having to rush through programs.

i think the second eg is used for thanking the guests. most traditional chinese weddings in places like taiwan have this practice!
 
bliss, I saw your blog or your AD doing pictures. Your photographer was good. Care to share where is he from? How much does he cost back then?
