2013 Plus Size BTB desperately need advise. Please help

I need help in the following. Really clueless where to start.

I have signed up for the pre-wedding photoshoot with La Fatte Taiwan Bridal Studio. All I need to know is for the actual day & solemnization.
I am planning to hold it during Nov 2013.
Wishes to have both dinner and solemnization on the same day.


1) What will be the schedule if I hold both dinner and solemnization from morning onwards ?

2) Does restaurant / hotel / country clubs provide emcee or do I have to find myself?

3) As my photoshoot is in Taiwan, where can I rent wedding gowns / evening gowns in Singapore for my AD ? Any recommendations ? (Budget $1-2k)

4) Any venues to recommend ? (Budget $10,000-25,000) for 250pax

5) where can I find nice engagement rings? (Budget $1-2k for both me and fiance)

6) Recommended Videographer ? (I have got someone to sponsor me photographer already)

7) What is photo montage? Compulsory ?

Morning: Make up, gatecrash, tea ceremony.
Evening: Reception, Banquet.
ROM Solemnization is usually done right after the morning events or just before the reception.


2) Does restaurant / hotel / country clubs provide emcee or do I have to find myself?

Usually no.
Most people will ask their friends to emcee their weddings.
Otherwise, they might hire a professional.


3) As my photoshoot is in Taiwan, where can I rent wedding gowns / evening gowns in Singapore for my AD ? Any recommendations ? (Budget $1-2k)

Yes, you can rent in Singapore. But the pricing is not very far from the studio's full package.


4) Any venues to recommend ? (Budget $10,000-25,000) for 250pax

Google "Ang Pow Bible 2012"
The top search result is a PDF containing the rates per table of 10.
Do note that there will be inflation as your wedding will be in 2013.


5) where can I find nice engagement rings? (Budget $1-2k for both me and fiance)

Look for independent jewellers. They can provide a good price as they don't charge premiums to cover their advertising and branding overheads.
Do note that the bulk of the costs for the rings are from the precious metals and stones.


6) Recommended Videographer ? (I have got someone to sponsor me photographer already)

Try posting at the photography and videography section. Include your email. There will be service providers that will respond to your post with their quotes. You should find someone with a reasonably good portfolio for your budget.


7) What is photo montage? Compulsory ?

It is a slideshow of photos.
The contents can be your childhood photos, pre-wedding photos and/or actual day wedding photos.
The main purpose of the photo montage is to "entertain" your guests at the banquet.
Not really compulsory.

Hi Shirley, Your taiwan bridal shop should have gowns for you to rent back. My sister brought back 3 gowns at about $200-$300, shipping is about $100 (two years ago). However, in taiwan, they will charge you for car rental, MUA to follow along and ampoules at $25 each vial and whats worst, they will use 4-5 ampoules both bride and groom for face and body.
