(2013/10) OCT 2013 BTB

Sarah, I was in the exact same position as u with amara sanctuary. The coordinator , Samuel took a duration of 4 months just to finally resolved some of our requests. He did not follow up with me from our first meeting and I had to email him 1.5 months later to find out whether he's going to send me the contract. Of which he said that his colleague was suppose to follow up with me but due to miscom nobody responded to me.
He threw me the ultimate kicker by reducing my guest list at the shutters by a good 40 guests ( wanted to hold lunch and dinner at the restaurant). Now I am frantically looking for another hotel just to make up for lost time and opportunity with other hotels. Very pissed off. Finally I'm in the midst of finalizing with grand Hyatt for another date; and at the same time re scheduling with church and mua etc. extremely frustrating!

If u r looking for a smooth wedding where proper service is to be expected , I highly do not recommend As.
 


Anw Sarah, based on my past 2 weeks of frantic research and soft booking at several places.. The following hotels have slots for sep and oct 2013:
Hilton- vista room
Mandarin oriental (atrium suites and garden suites)
Good wood
Grand Hyatt
Four seasons
Fullerton - best service provided by coordinator , Melissa Lin

Go soft book with them and slowly decide on their terms tog with ur h2b. More impt to secure dates !

Khim, I am a bit kiasu la... My house may arrive in 2013, so start wedding preparation earlier =D so that i can have more breathing space next year.
 
Hi oct btb! I was thinking of creating a whatsapp group for just oct BTBs so that we can update one another as to what stage we should source for what and settle what and also to share our finds with one another. Hello Elaine, you can consider looking at Mandarin Oriental Lunch which charges $968++ per table (min 15 tables, max 18 tables @ Atrium Room) ; Hilton at $1038++ per table (min 20 tables, max 25 tables @ Vista Room)price is same for both dinner and lunch but they have the most number of perks; or Fullerton for lunch at $998++ per table (min 8 tables , max 12 tables @ Straits Room).

It is difficult to find a hotel ballroom (dinner) below $1000nett on a weekend. You can consider luncheon if your parents are ok with it. (But problem of luncheon is that its a bit rush and most video express highlights cannot be in time for luncheon) Another option maybe is to get restuarant like peony jade etc. =)

Wow... 6-oct-2013 is a popular date! *waves* to all brides to be with same AD as me =)

If you can consider to increase your budget a little higher.. can consider Orchard Hotel. My AD is in May next year. Orchard Hotel's dinner banquet is abt $1168 nett per table for 2013.

now i've to look for BS during style wedding rs at marina square next weekend

am not doing gate crashing in the morning so opting out the VG, don't intend to hav a photo album, thus just thinking of renting the gowns..

You may want to consider Coffee and Tea? I have engaged them for pre wedding shoot, PG & VG. A staff name Fion has been very helpful and showed us alot of their works without reservation. We were also shown works frm associate and top PG/VG to let us compare. In the end we chose an associate for VG cos its gd enough. Fion is also nice enough to extend a discounted upgrade price should i want to use their top VG in future. She is very sincere throughout and no black face, knowing tht we r still in the shopping stage of planning. Because my fiance & I are lazy shoppers and find them really sincere, so decide to sign them on.
