Serena, yes u certainly can go down to try a few gowns before u sign the package! That's what I did..I remember trying on one of their WG's that was really poofy, my coordinator was so nice to take out a veil and a tiara to complete the look (She was holding my hair in a loose bun). Really princessy looking and one of the customers who stepped in went "woah".

They are really v v nice. And yes there is a trial makeup session incldued. I am using tt for my ROM

Their packages are quite straightforward - not like WL/MDW which charge extra for certain kinds of gowns. But I'd still suggest that u look thru the Bridal studio threads to see what "problems" they face and then if u are not comfortable, iron them out with Rico (if u wanna take them).. That's what I did - i was clarifying if they had a additional dry cleaning charges, whether they charged more for certain ranges of gowns etc. It is def easier to go meet them if u r prepared w a list of qtns tt u have

hi all, advise needed... if i sign my package only 10 months before AD is it too rush??? my HTB is stationed overseas for 6 months from next tue onwards so there is definitely not enough time to get the BS within these few days..

Currently shortlisted shangri-la hotel for my AD. gonna call and check tmr, see if we can recce the site.

welcome to the club? I don't think it is really possible to ask for extra perks (easier ones wld be extra invites and parking - do try to get more of those) except for the smaller items.

fyi i doubt the pricing for shang after mar 2013 is out. u can try emailing them though to ask....
 
btw do ask them when do they have wedding banquets so u can have a look at the ballroom w the setups. i loved the ballroom when i went there that time..high ceiling, pillarless!
 
Yes! I called.. Their new package will be out somewhere next week. Arranged with them on the site recce on 12 June!

Anyway.. Boo.. A couple tentatively booked on 20th oct as well! Hmm.. They are avail on 19th oct, thus I tentatively booked too!! Haha.

If you are looking at hotels.. I would think that you can start searching now. I called ritz and shangri la.. They are already booked on 20th oct.. Yups.. So! Early than late! ^^

ya.. if looking for hotels, can start searching now... out of my first 10 choices, approximately half don't have the date that I wanted....
 
I was kind of surprised myself.... i was really disappointed at first when my first two choices of hotel have been reserved by others.. but eventually it worked out well cos a couple give up their reservation and I got the hotel I wanted... hehe... though now to think of it is kind of at a costly side... :P
 
Serena, which hotel are you going with? But I am happy for u cos that's the biggest item off your list. W/o a venue , there is no show!
 
InterContinental Hotel.... went for the wedding show at that time and I was impressed by the ballroom... I am glad my HTB and I shared the same view on the ballroom and it was an easy decision...
 
Hi Serena, I'm with InterCon too.. I signed up during the bridal show and I must say I was impressed with the hotel and the package they were offering then.

Hi embernana, my AD is on 20th too and I've secured a venue and confirmed my photographer already. Seems like evyone is booking way in advance so I'm also quite kiasu. Haha..

Good to start going to wedding shows and fairs to have a better idea on what you and ur HTB like and want.
 
Hi Jane, when is your AD??? hahaha.. maybe we saw each other at the wedding show and we did not know.. hahaha... yep... venue i guess have to start early cos my friends always advise me that hotels get booked up quite fast and have to book at least a yr or more earlier.. i was quite kiasu and book 1.5 yrs earlier =P

Want to seek all your opinion about wedding in Chijmes Hall. Would you all consider that place if you are a buddhist? My parents and in law are quite resistant..

I'm don't have a chinese banquet too but I host my dinner at Asian Civilisation Musuem. I love Chijmes too. But it too costly for us when we first enquiry, think about $140++ per table. You know what, 2 months before my wedding date than my caterer told me that Chijmes can release my date to them at a special rate. Heart broken! At first, my parent against the idea of buffet and not holding in hotel but end up she melted when she arrive the hall area. We got our caterer to set-up the whole place in oriental style, very very chena looking.
 
èµµæ•: yep the themes for this year are nice... they are telling me next year will be new themes so they asking me not to choose my themes as yet cos still too early to do so... hope next year's theme is as nice...
 
Incidentally I was given an idea of what color of roses to use for my wedding at MO. I am thinking of using the "Love" theme which by default uses white (?) roses but I was told that the colors may be changed according to my preference... :P I may wanna change the colors to make it livelier
 
I have a thomas wedding package to let go with a MTM gown in the package.. let me know if anyone is interested!

Going to wear my mum's old gown instead *so old-school, but loving it~*

I'm a 19 Oct BTB~ Asking the hotels if I can theme according to my preferences too! haha.. maybe pay a top-up to the florist engaged?

Although the exterior of Furama is quite old. But the ballroom and the bridal suite looks nice. High ceiling, pillarless and the whole level 5 belongs to us. Hehe...

I have not checked with them regarding the package because my htb and I are still in the contemplating stage. Seriously, do you think his parents will mind to hold the wedding at Chijmes? After all it used to be a church.

Ladies, do you think my in laws will object to having wedding in Chijmes? They are Buddhist.

Hi all, my fiance and I are thinking of holding our wedding at Amara Sanctuary. However the service of the sales personnel there is not really good. It's been days and I have been trying to get them to arrange an appointment with me but they kept dragging on and have yet to contact me. We do not have much choices left as most of the hotels we want are fully booked. Now finding a suitable Bridal shop is also an issue. Any recommendations? I'm quite lost =(
 
Hello, all Oct 2013 BTBs! My AD is on 20 Oct 2013. Just booked my hotel banquet couple of weeks ago and settled my BS (Di Gio) today at a wedding show. Didn't even see their gowns selection, but based on magazines, I quite like their gown designs...was debating between Di Gio and Rico a mona...but the package was quite attractive at the wedding show. Hope I didn't make a decision too fast. *crossing my fingers*
