val: I will go food tasting only in jan/feb, no point doing it so early cos the chef may not rem ur requests (if any). Guest list hope to finalise by early dec so that I can go print my inserts in mid dec.

how many months bonus did u sacrifice? me also dilemma now, if I leave now my bonus also all gone. Very the 'bu kan xin' u know? so I think I will take bonus first then leave (provided I can find job). Every cent counts, I need the bonus to buy things for my house...sigh

Thomas> Yes, mine is by Ah Soon.. His schedule is always very packed and you need to choose the sub-contractors carefully.. Not all sub-con under him are good.. I saw lousy workmanship and good ones under him.. For my case, I'm purposely choose the better carpenter even if I need to wait.. If yours is urgent, then I also dun encourage you to take him up.. Will be very stressful to work with him under tight schedule.. Not too sure abt recent happenings though.. Long time didn't update myself on renotalk.. It's found on the Ah Soon thread?

But one point to note is that renovation always have a lot of hiccups, so it's still best that you can follow through and dun expect the ID/contractor to auto-pilot.. Or else you will regret, some things once done cannot be undo.. All you can do is salvage the situation..

booy: yes I know, he's not one u can look for if ur job is urgent. Go see his thread in renotalk if u are free, lately so many flaming posts until I got pretty sick of reading.

val: he put a lot of ppl aeroplane lor...called him no reply, smsed him nothing also. arranged for appts with others but nvr turned up, nvr inform also. how to work with ppl like that? I can't stand this type of ppl honestly, no matter how cheap he quotes. u have their email addresses which u got their quotes? can send me all? thanks
