Jerlynn, I know of Bridal Closet, but her picts of the jiemeis dresses like very limited. Have u gone to her shop? Got more choices there is it? =)

I think this weekend my jiemeis and I will go to City Plaza to take a look. Heard there'r some shops selling dresses. Hope can find something there. If not, we will hit the town! =)

I think it's cheaper to buy jiemeis' dresses rather than rent them. Maybe can check online websites or blogs. Will be going to bridal closet to see the flower girls' dresses.

Don't think the dresses are great at City Plaza.Went there once to look for shoes. Quite disappointed. Maybe there are hidden places for good bargains I'm not sure.

hi anticipate, like saggie said, they are keen (generally). There are some BSs that are ala carte whereby their packages don't have photography included (but if you wanna use any of the PGs that they tie up with, you prob get preferential rates lah), even one stop BSs will also take you if you just want for AD...just let them know and see if you like their gowns, their style and if you click with their designer =)

I spent the last 2 weeks writing the wedding invites... very time consuming!!! But i feel so happy when giving out the invites to my frens & colleagues... all the well-wishes & offers to help really make me feel very loved by them!!

Anticipate> no worries

hmm after selection of BS, u can do the following:

1. choose gowns / tailor suits / choose suits
2. if u r gg for MTM, start to research on materials, cutting, design etc..and meet up with designers
3. arrange for fitting / alteration etc
4. buy accessories if need to (e.g. ladies - tiara, jewelry, shoes for AD)..(for guys-shoes, socks, cufflinks, ties etc)

Im trying to enjoy it too but somehow the work+planning+prep+renov has made me look 10 yrs older. Cant wait for these to end...sigh..

Anyway, have got a question off my head:

Is any of u having yr solemnisation just before the dinner banquet (prob abt 5pm)? n if so, does ur MUA charge extra for staying for both ROM & 1st March-In? Coz think most of our bridal pkg only provides 1 day and nite makeup FOC.

Hi girls, Capella is at Sentosa and it's a new hotel BUT their min table for the ballroom is 30 or spending o $60,000K. It's too ex already. so perhaps we will take a look at their Sentosa Room. Thanks for reminding, I totally forgotten about Beauford. heehee.. By the way, a piece of news for you girls.. I am pregnant. 1mth+. Hope my tummy wun show by June..

my gown, etc probably have to wait till May. I have just signed up with a taiwan bridal shop and will be going there for PS. They are opening their branch in SG in May so wanted to see if they could offer a good deal. Not sure if I should wait or just go check out the rest of the BS for the AD stuffs.

Suddenly getting a little lazy when compared to the initial stage when I'm so full of energy. Now just feel like sitting there and wait for the day to come.. haha

saggie> not sure how the PS in taiwan will turnout. Done a quick search in SB but seems like no one is talknig about my taiwan BS. But feel very comfortable with them and very friendly. Hopefully it's the same when we are there in June.

Ya... lots of ppl getting married in Dec, one of my worry is that all local BS will be taken, just like the wedding venue. I'm looking for AD service and ROM service. Not sure how much that would cost. I'm a bit KS too but now a bit 'low batt', plus my HTB away for biz trip tomorrow till Sunday, nothing much can be done on the BS too.

Oh ya, just to check with you on GDL stuff. Is it a miss for parents to give cakes to relative when they are delivering the invitation cards? Or can just pass the invitation cards to them without anything? Any idea? We don't want too complicated but not sure if it's a norm and then the relatives might be 'waiting' for the cakes...

Excited BTB, my fren did her solemnisation before dinner at about 7pm outside the hotel banquet room, with 3 rows of chairs for guests. Her MU starts at 4pm. She had the same hair style throughout the nite, so dun think she got to pay extra. Hope that helps.

typically for ROM service (MU, dress (if u want), suit, hairdo) cost abt $700...but if u take AD service, typically they will throw in a discount or even FOC

for GDL, yes typically there will be cakes delivered with the invitation cards

... for mi is quite simple coz SG relatives not many and all stay quite close to one another (like whampoa>toa payoh>bishan>hougang)...so chope chope 1-2 day can finish le...

Bridal PS Montage w song - Before the wedding starts and await for all pple to sit. In between if no other montage is being played.

Childhood to Current Montage w song - After first march in when about 2-3 dish the Emcee will say something about the couple than the start playing the childhood montage.. than if you got animation also can play after that.. before every play just get the Emcee to say something than play the video. Than after that can invite you all in on the 2nd march in.

Morning Express highlight - play after the 2nd march in and couple are sitted back in their sits... than invite couple for toasting at stage.. than photo time table to table.

But actually you can just cater the montage to your own liking... normally the Bridal PS Montage is standard one. The other montage is played from childhood day till current just follow the stages like bb - child - younger - current - part tor - holiday - propose - animation - than morning express.

I remember hor from the time guest proceed to the dinner venue till before the 1st march in all the while they show the Bridal PS montage w song.

Oh yar hor.. maybe my sequence is not correct.. The following should be correct :

After first march in when about 2-3 dish the Emcee will say something about the couple than the start playing the childhood montage and Morning Express Highlight. Than after invite couple in on the 2nd march in.

2nd march in proceed to stage than cut cake finish and couple say simple speech.. invite parents to stage to toast.. than back to sits. Than proceed to table to table photo taking.

My brother dun have animation.

By the way what do you have?? Animation, Childhood to present montage only??

Normally what I see is at wedding dinner the childhood to present montage will play than following by morning express highlight¡­ than couple 2nd march in.

I actually didnt want to have a videographer, but my mum went to her frens daughter's wedding and they had a VG and also a montage playing during dinner of the day's highlights and she was then convinced that we should have one. its a once in a lifetime thing and if it is not out of your budget then i'd say go for it.

yeah i was also quite relaxed too. it only took a night just to sort out everyone's duties and the itinerary for the day so it might be a good idea just to do it all and get it over and done with. I just sorted it out last night. my wedding is on 9th and I have to fly back to singapore on 2nd so technically i have 1 month.

I still have to make 2 ap boxes too. I'm not to stressed abt the events for the dinner. just let is play out on its own and my maid of honour has been mc b4 so she'll know what to do. hee

normally ppl no animation. so b4 1st march in is the photo montage. then b4 2nd march in is the video highlights.

wedding photos will hv lar. but nt sure wan to add into the montage or nt.. haha.. as tinkin hw to go abt it..

Than combine the past till present + animation + morning express montage to one play. Than follow by your 2nd march in. So meaning your past till present dun need to put so much photo.

After 2nd march usually nothing to see liao lor... Hahah.
