My Wedding date is 22 Nov 2009 this year. Venue Have already booked the venue at Park Royal Hotel Beach Road. But I have headaches to chosse the right Bridal Shop. In 2007 I have book the bridal package at satiyago bridal shop, I have use their ROM package at 02 Feb 2008 was quite please with their serivce, but recently heard thet the make-up artist and the designer which i have use last year have left the BS so I have doubt with their service. Did anyone of you have satiyago wedding package can share with me their serivces?

Hi everybody, thanks for all the advise. haha. u know, i forgot all about the exchange of wedding bands.. den we never go shop for it leh. yesterday chop chop go select wedding band.

its gonna take 2.5 months to make the wedding band coz dun have the sizes for us. lucky loh. if we shop later, dun think we can get the wedding bands on time.

anyway, i saw from the ROM website that the exchange of vows take 2-3 minutes, and only 12 people can enter. after 2-3 minutes, we will be asked to leave so that the next couple can use the room. is this true? coz if only 2-3 minutes den i dun think im inviting my friends liao.

it's about 1.5months more.. so far have printed my wedding inserts, still waiting for collection.. aft wedding inserts ready will arrange to collect the wedding cards from hotel..

guest list is still a problem.. haha.. our frens and colleagues are more or less confirmed.. but as for relatives, guy side not confirmed yet..

Talking about Guo Da Li.. the parents haven't even meet to discuss formally about it (always off topic).. haha.. scheduled for another session this coming Sunday.. see how bah..

Montage still in progress.. childhood is almost done.. wedding PS montage (to play before dinner) should be quite simple..

dear all --> can see that all BTBs are very excited as we have about 9 months time to prepare alot of things... so mus take care of ourselves while we are busy with a lot of stuffs... Hated my company firewall, now i can only login at home to see updates from everyone...

cny --> maybe u can get ur colleague to try her gowns during weekdays, i took leave last month on a friday & going to take on next tue to confirm my gowns.. HaiZ~ i get 3 girlfriends to go down & all with different taste telling me tube is better for me & ask me to forgo halter neck, now i am lost for choice... *headache*

Charmaine --> i am unsure if HIPV actually make their prices lower but i know Orchard Hotel actually cut theirs... hee.. am looking forward to their new look as well...

Another thing to share with BTBs, i don't know how effective this can be, but my gf shared it with me that she drink tou hua shui for breakfast, ate fish soup for lunch & cut carbo for dinner. She drop around 4kg within 2 months.. Maybe you all will want to try...

i realise logistics not easy to settle.

Not the ferrying during the day, but ferrying of parents for the night.

As my friend mentions its not nice for them to take cab there.
Yet paiseh the drivers to go pick them up.
But guess no choice. Will increase my budget of angbaos for the xiongdi-s le...

Yip! Yeah it is a bit difficult with determining the guests. For us, we have been very specific with the invites on whos is invited. If we are inviting the family, we have stated all the names. For some ppl we are not inviting kids so only husband and wife names are on the invite. We are keeping the numbers as low as possible so when ppl ask us we say yeah things are going well, trying to keep numbers down.

poohise, yeah table arrangement will be another headache. I sort of know who is going where, just waiting for everyone to rsvp then I will actually decide. my maid of honour and one of the groomsmen will be the emcee cos they have been emcees before. whew

I've decided that since I'm overseas, I have to learn to let go and delegate. This week I'm drawing up duties for my bridesmaids for things that need to be done up to the day so I can sit back and relax. It doesnt help that I'm building my house at the same time and there are so many things to finalise.

so for me the gown fitting process is v smooth-sailing...i took both halter neck gowns for my WG (grand look) and EG (unique 2-piece)....

ya lor...now preparing for PS and slowly doing up the necessary stuffs for wedding... cannot leave till last minute then do...

LOL...i cannot drink soya bean milk for bfast..maybe i can add 2 piece wholemeal bread...that will be better...at least there is fibre and other nutrients..

nice poohise! Hope the planning is going swell.

my rsvps are trickling in already. happy with the progress so far.

Can't wait to start plannig the seating arrangement, don't like to leave things hanging..

but have no choice but to wait till 1st week April.

logistics for me was mind-boggling also with the arrangements for buses to my hotel. But it's cool cos hotel is providing and the planning was done way in advance.. haha.. benefits of being kiasu.. Parents will drive themselves everywhere so I've one less headache.

Guest lists seems to be ok so far.. we don't really feel paiseh abt inviting straggler colleagues or acquaintances cos we feel we need to be firm about keeping the numbers as planned and not inflating it. We have a no-ring-no-bring policy too, and we had to stick to it even though its not nice to tell ppl they can't bring their boyfriends. Lucky though we have a lunch and dinner to cater to different sets of friends and colleagues.

Next on my to-do list are:
- choose bridal flowers & car deco & hotel ballroom
- re-write emcee script (sample given by hotel not so gd)
- do up photo montage
- detailed wedding schedule & duties

i liked e cakes at pine garden..not too expensive, and taste nice...u can try calling them to fix an appt...can taste the flavours when u go for appt to understand more abt their cakes...not so sure abt e rest though coz most of them were out of my budget..

mine is 3 tiers, cost mi 480(was charged xtra 300 for e bue shading tat i wanted..)..can feed about 120 peepz if im not wrong....

for mi, i didnt want to cut a dummy juz for e sake of cutting...so i got a real cake...i will be serving mi cake after my solemnisation. 1stly, guests can eat while i charge for march-in..2ndly, guests will rem tat they are eating a wedding cake...dun wan the cake to juz look like normal desert when served at desert bar....3rdly, can choose wateva flavours i like wifout worrying abt 'clashing' wif other deserts.

Jo - i have colour theme already so will get them and the xiong dis to dress according to the colours. was contemplating getting the jie meis dresses tailored in the same fabric but i think save up that money lah, can be put to better use

actually if u wan, can consider cartier's love series ... price is quite ok too ... i had wanted to get tat for my weddin band ... but FH prefers sth tat is comfort-fit ...

i like rings that have some weight to it

... so both st maurice series fr ling jewellery and cartier fit my criteria.

my sec sis got her weddin band fr eclarity. Price is very reasonable ... service also gd ... but ring is a tad light to hold

i went to fairy's inc to take a look too ... decent rings but a tad ex, to me

so its all down to wat u like and wats ur budget
