mine all from lee hwa...

i got the proposal ring on my own lar...still paying off the 0% installment...hahaha...

our bands actually not that ex...spent much more on the proposal ring...

now actually waiting for the purple gold set which is present from my mum to be ready...the bracelet too long so shorten it...took abt 1 month so far...should be ready this week.
 


wah aroh, so fast get gold set le arh...i stil duno wat to get sia..sm more need buy 'gold' for him oso...but he sae he dun wan gold..prefer other tings...headache...
 
Nobody bought from Fairy Inc ah? Hmmm...

The HTB and I couldn't decide on white gold or yellow gold wedding bands from Cartier. So we're still thinking... Ours will take 3 months to order and another 2 weeks to do engraving. Maybe should decide soon if want it to be on time for wedding shoots.

But now I'm thinking maybe we should go for custom made ones, but have no idea what kind of designs to use...

Those of you who custom made your wedding bands, will the shops give you templates or ideas? Or you just decide beforehand and show them what you wanted?

They would have samples for you to see, but of cos you can change the designs, colours, decide whether you wan to add diamonds or to remove them etc. They are quite flexible actually. What you can do is to shop around in the other jewellery shops first. Have an idea on wat you like.
 
think i will do the marco shots of the bands plus the purple gold set myself...

more than enough time to get the stuff ready for photoshoot...
 
orh...it's really purple in color...only lee hwa and those under the same group such as goldheart will have it...it's patented...can be mixed with rose gold, white gold, plat or gold as well on the same piece of jewellery...

could be matt or shiny surface...or textured...

the set eva chosen comes with rose quartz and diamonds...and mainly made of white gold...only certain parts are purple gold.
 
i oso duno leh...mi mum sae need get gold items for e guy...like tie clip, cuffs, rings, buckle, etc...

initially i oso wanted to buy diamond set for sidianjian, but then hor, depreciate veri fast...so most prob will b getting yellow gold..more value...nxt time mi gal get married, oso can pass on..haha...i dreaming too far le...

i'll be going for my 2nd fitting on 15/12. Still very fat although i have lost 4kg haha. still not enf leh. haizzzz. worst is double chin still there......anyone know wat to do to remove double chin?

I also headache abt it.

What i heard is massage upwards from neck to chin?
Not sure if it really works.

Coz face is the hardest to slim down, for me la.

oh ok..just return the gifts to the matchmaker will do. Dowry just give to the matchmaker too. For us, maybe got our own house so dowry stuff just store into our new house. So GDl tat day only male side stuff..nothing much to carry back also. ahaha

I think sure got time lah. The GDL thing is just a simple ceremony , shall not last more than 30 mins. But immediately follow ur hubby back home like not very nice lah, maybe next day then go to ur in law's place lor. or if your parents are okay with it then should be no prob of going back with your hubby.

Hmm.. get a pair of heels (main thing is to determine the height).
though most WG designs the length should be able to amend, but if yours going to have full embroidery all the way to the end of dress that not possible to amend the length.
 
si dian jin - i guess it depends on how one sees it...for the teochews, generally they would want it to be yellow gold for the value tat comes along with the gold...

anyhow, i managed to check with Poh Heng before...they will do a 100% dollar cash value trade in for yellow gold...just in case anyone wishes to ask...

I'm also going for my 2nd fitting same day as you! I desperate enough to ask my designer if I can lose more weight after 2nd fitting... LOL! She says no problem. Just not too drastic.

I just brought the shoes that I'll be wearing for my wedding for my 1st fitting. Didn't bring anything else. Oh, and camera... My HTB &amp; sister took photos so that we can 'analyse' all parts and all angles. Also for memories!

it's true gold keeps the value and can be sold far more easily. we considered this before but in the end we decided getting purple gold means more chances to wear the set rather than gold which will be condamned to a safe somewhere...

my family is teochew but my mum rather let eva decide since it's a present to her...

poh heng really have some really traditional designs and they even have a box meant for such sets...
 
no lah, elyse..not saying tat eclarity is better cos everyone's definition of good etc is different...all i'm saying is, do go n check out a few...compare n perhaps see some designs so u can more or less determine wat kind of rings u both want....then u can go on frm there

hype is all over and i am indeed very stressed. Sent out my cards on sunday and deliver the cards and cakes to close relatives. Somehow got a mis-spelling on one of the card..kena called up last nite and got scolded by an aunt. Very sian lor, because i wrote accidentally from mr to mrs. I think some relatives can be very sensitive and nitpicking..so pls be careful or will end up like me..getting scolded.

sob sob..actually quite hurt. Small issue like make it so big. tot wedding supposed to be happy.
