My experience with MBR (My Bridal Room) was great. I was walking along Tan Quee Lan Street and saw MBR and decided to take a look. I was served by Sandra, my coordinator, she is a very friendly and patient person. It was the 1st time I step into a BS and she was patient to explain every details with me at no hidden costs.As I looked thru the album and gowns, they have very nice gowns and the photography was good. From the conversation with Sandra, she immediately know what kind of design i like and shes fantastic, really like her design and she happens to be the designer of the gowns too.

I spent almost 3 hours there. The people there are very nice and sincere. They are very flexible in the package too. MBR really makes me feel I am at home. The gowns are very nice and special too.

Therefore, I decided to sign up the package without thinking of going to another BS. When looking for BS, to me sincerity and honesty and their services are very important.

I have bring frens to MBR and they really like the place and service too. That is y I greatly recommend this BS. Really thumbs up for them.


I greatly encourage u to go and find out more. If ur keen, we can mt up and I can introduce my co-ordinator to u. I am more happy to introduce u to MBR. I think its worthwhile to go down and take a look then decide further.

Saggiegirl...I don't have my AD date yet. My hubby is working overseas and only return back to SIN like once every 2 to 3 mths. do u think a few days prior CNY the master will help me to look for a date as my hubby will return back during CNY.

- Almost done, only few more amendment before we distribute around CNY.

5) Food Tasting
- to be arranged around Feb-09

6) AD MUA, PG &amp; VG
- confirmed

7) Song List
- Provided by the lunch venue.... no preference as long as they're love songs...

8) Childhood Photo Montage
- Skipped, HTB does not fancy the idea of showing everyone the Montage, be it pre wedding or childhood.

9) Program List &amp; Emcee Script for Actual Day
- Tentative program list done, no Emcee..

10) GDL
- to be done end Feb-09

11) Beauty Regime
- Continue my diet and hopefully can look slimmer for AD... plus going for my facial regularly every 3 weeks... applying my ampules. mask at home....

hi lam,

its up to you though I only stick one day to the wedding as it looks odd especially at the main door. ppl will ask how come so fast stick already but wedding havent come. Usually ppl will expect its the day before.

Its one more day for me to go.

Last night my hubby just finished his thank you speech haha. Seems like all is settled, now left to really print out the final seating arrangement for the reception table. Now just making sure my eye bag is not that bad and I will have enough sleep for my BIG DAY. Wish me luck gals.

I might only return on forum here on 3rd Jan or 4th Jan..hereby wishing those brides having their big day to enjoy!

Wanted to ask you all if you have discussed dowry with ur parents/parents-in-law. My mum says according to Chinese tradition, bride side will request for a certain no. of banquet tables. The groom side will provide a sum of money as dowry in addition to the banquet tables as requested. The bride's family will only take a portion of the dowry money and return the rest back to the groom's family. And the ang baos collected by the bride's family for the stipulated no. of banquet tables will be kept by the bride's family or returned as good will gesture to the couple.

Is it right? Think it's quite complicated..haha.

Thanks Jol &amp; Rain. Actually we had an AD date already, but i seriously do not understand why my MIL insist that no need to get date for GDL and AC. As for hair combing, she said something like, last time when she married, she didn't comb, so she can't comb for my hubby. She also mentioned in order to proceed to this ceremony, both the mum and dad must have went thru this ceremony when they got married last time, otherwise, they are not qualifed to comb for her son. ~weird~ =(

I am still trying to find a good time to discuss with my parents about this, i somehow believe that we can't skip the hair combing ceremony. My MIL always say that nowadays more 'modern', don't need to follow too many traditions, but then, i think it's not just one sided, she should hear my parents' side also.
