brides of june 07, can give an update of what you are busy with now? I scared I am behind schedule..

Me -
1. Collecting ideas to do ang bao box.
2. Confirming my favours as my venue do not provide it.
3. Doing my best to slim my arms.
4. Consuming balanced meal
5. Doing mask at least once a week.
6. Confirming guest list

GDL is not my concern rite? si jian jin is my mil concern rite? I think my MIL knows wat to do.

Anything I shld take note of? My house done already. Videography & AD photography confirmed.

Hi Joelle,
if u doing outside ROM, then u nid to lookout/do few things:

1. Find/Confirm venue
2. Book JP or Pastor if yrs is a church solemnisation in advance
3. Then 3 mths b4 yr date, login to ROM website to book yr ROM date
4. If u nid floral arrangement and if venue does not provide nid to look for it oso
5. Get a nice gown fer yrself and shirt&pants/tie/suit for hubby-to-be (Or if AD not too far, can search for Bridal Studio and get them to thrown in free ROM Gowns/package)
6. Create guest list
7. Create/Print invitation cards for family/frens if u want, else can just verbally inform if not too many guest
8. Find photographer/videographer depending on yr preference.

I think this is a simple start off list for you. Personally, my ROM will be same day as AD... so i can only think of all these. Hope it helps ya.

PK fer me... these are the things me doing now:

1. Thinking of doing Ang Pow Boxes
2. May buy/do wrist corsages for Jie Mei
3. BF just confirmed our Songs for Solemnization March in, Dinner 1st March in, 1st Dish, and 2nd March in... and just sent list to my fren workin in a music pdtion hse to compile to CD and includes other nice romantic/jazz songs as fillers.
4. Waiting to view animation from our fren who offered to help.
5. Still doing my Precious Moment Wedding Cross-stitch which i hope to place it at reception table before dinner and after AD at lovenest.
6. Wedding pixs Montage to do after CNY.
7. Design of wedding invites oso after CNY.
8. 1st draft of guest list for me & bf and my mom out. BF mom will do her own guest list.
9. Planned for food tasting in May.
10. On the search for nice bedsheets.
11. Not bothered abt guodali or Si Dian Jin cos dats my in-law to settle. Heehee.

pk, for GDL think the bride's parents suppose to prepare some things like the lamp, niao hu, etc..

for me, I am busy with
1. house hunting
2. shopping shoes for my ROM
3. shopping for wedding band
4. shopping for FH's shirt
5. planning for ROM lunch / food tasting
6. souring for medicure/pedicure for my PS on 31 Jan
7. calculating how much $ to change for the AB

The rest will slowly do..
Yesterday we went Grand Hyatt to place deposit for the dinner liao

Am wondering if I should dye my hair to dark brown, cos gotta quite a lot of white hair..but FH prefer I not do it..

maochong, congrats on confirming yr venue!

Think tentatively dun nid to dye hair ba... cos on PS day, yr MUA will use hair spray to "colour" yr hair in a sense. But maybe u can check wif yr MUA and seek her advise is better.

For medicure/pedicure... i did mine at Millenia Walk, this shop called Nail Passion. Not bad... u can go try out. They got OPI nail polish from US, its quite gd.

pk, yup, me finished doing will surely upload to multiply and show ya. Its not easy to do and i chose a cloth which has very small counts just so the pix wont turn out too big (else too costly to frame). But then realised, the smaller it is, the more difficult to do. And do wrongly worst... nid to re-track and undo... Ouch! Its alot of work. Dunno y i so hiao and now got so much things to do... LOLz!

So hope it will turn out nice and worth my effort for few mths. <glup> And hope i dun go blind.... like everything i do all nid eye power. Aiyoh!

Cheri : I have also got myself a mani and pedi package which I find their service not bad too... hehe ... that is the reason why i signed up with them, cos normally i would just go for one time each and pay for each session. But as this is good, I ended up taking up the package.

You may consider that as a option too. It's call Nail Expert.

I got the quote from Stephen fr Lyrical Moments, price is about $2500 based on the no. of hours for my wedding. Haven't heard from Kuang fr 39 east yet.

i just came back from my gown selection. hehe... its actually quite fun. wedding gown and evening gown confirmed but i ask to hold 1 half done wedding gown for me. once its ready, i want to try that in case i prefer that. heheheh....

currently doing up my house.
1. hongbao box will use hotel
2. corsages (getting someone to do for me)
3. start looking for shoes since i confirm my gown.

what else should i do?? people always tell me that i will be busy preparing for wedding but i'm not. a bit scary...

I think most of the top class photographers are charging by hours plus album rather than by "packages". Anyone knows 39 East's charges like?

agnes: Though people say LP's good, I don't really like the style and feel. Personal taste lah. Also, I heard that he's been overlybooked lately.

sailor_p: $400 per hour for Gabriel? Not sure if it's worth that much. plush is a lot better for $300 /hr. Anyway, we shortlisted 6 photographers at first, now we're down to 39 East and Lyrical Moments. Let me know what you think of their works.

sailor: u can start sourcing for AD photographers cos they get booked pretty fast.

I have booked Plush photography .... cos i prefer artistic and journalistic types of pics..for formal and group pics i have asked two of our friends to take with digital cameras...hehe as long as digital camera is good..normal group pics should be ok...hehe

that's how i maximise it hehe...

actually 39 east is the best but he is rather x ...

esther:maybe u can have a wedding cake but in the hotel room ..surprise yr hubby with a birthday cake...he will be happy i am sure..
