My company allows employee to do health checkup every yr so I go for it every yr... its comprehensive costs ard $372. Quite gd! Lets you know yr full health status. Quite kiasu cos I am gg to be 31 tis yr and hence, hope i can still hv a healthy bb after wedding... LOL!

Clueless, i think if we collate all our orders might be cheaper...

oh... forgot, I hv oso completed the Marriage Prep Course wif my bf! I strongly recommend it to all couples! It really helps you two to know one another better and to "condition yr mind" for both of you on how marriage will be. Also, guys will be more understanding towards ladies. And they cover on how to handle finances and in-laws! I give thumbs up for this course and think even few yrs after marriage, I wld still get my bf to go thru this course again. Cos serves as a reminder to both of us...

clueless, 'san zhao hui men' means.. in the past the bride and groom leaves far away.. so on the wedding itself the groom pick the bride and go to the groom side.. n after the 3 daes the bride will return to her home to jin cha etc.. (hopefully i din interpret wrongly hheee ).. in local pretext now.. the groom will pick his bride to his hom.. jin cha liaoz then change to tea dress or kua n make ur way back to ur own home fer jin cha.. fer some customs.. when reach the bride house muz drive 3 rounds b4 making ur way back to bride's house..

clueless, i know which bedsheets yr friend bought frm Aussino, it is very cute comes in red n pink... i also thinking of buying tat. btw, all the bedsheets i bought from aussino, i think the thread comes off after few wash but overall i think still not bad cos some of the design are quite cute...

Hi gals!

Seems like everyone is so busy with your reno, PS, shopping, HM planning etc... I am still at the same point. Nothing done yet. Not even 1st apptment for the hse. ID not confirm, HM not confirm, design not confirm.... hahaha... I think i am having a big headache for lots of not confirm items.

Hope you gals enjoy yourself and share with me some tips along the way. Cos now my wedding postpone to end May le.

Quite sad... Cos looking forward to Mar but no choice loh... Lots of stuffs not done. Luckily we opt for May, if not.... The very last parents meeting session's discussion for pin li, my mum had kanna a very black face from MIL. Sad man... Feel sad for my mum... Hai... I can predict hard life for me next time. hahaha! babystarlet, all the quilt cover set that Aussino sells are WITHOUT the quilt cover. U will need to purchase the quilt. If u find it too expensive at Aussino, u can buy elsewhere. Those places that offer quilt and quilt cover are likely the big departmental stores like Robinsons, Metro.

The other set of bedsheet of the "couple" that Aussino sell is much cheaper..But i still prefer the XI bedsheets

I realised many of us took My Bridal Room as BS, its really quite new but i like their service and the fact that their dresses are very new hehe... hope their service will remain this standard until our weddings this nov hehe

smiles: i booked swissotel not that long ago le... i think i signed either last oct or nov. we actually wen to the singapore brides bridal bash at swissotel in april last year. like it so much that we kept it in mind until finally decided on it lah.

but we actually had it on hold for quite awhile as me & my FH was trying to decide hehe... until some1 else wanted the date then my coordinator Sharon called us to ask if we wan to confirm ornot hehe.. she gave us the time to slowly think until there was another couple la that was her promise to us hehe so actually we took like 2-3mths to decide hehe. Sharon not bad can chit chat type but i tink hotel policy she cant give much perks le...

as for the gathering I think we do 2 things in one nite. I scared do all 3, all get tired =P dinner is a definate but just a qn of KTV or clubbing. If go clubbing, def must bring FH liao n plus must go smeplace where they can sit to chill coz he's not much of a dancer.

I think b/w KTV and clubbing, more ppl inclined to KTV =P So why dun we do the KTV and dinner first? Then we get to know each other smemore then can arrange for a clubbing session on tt day for another time lor =) Coz must see ppl pref of music n stuff also mah =)

Derrick was also my fren's AD PG but very recently, only last october. But he wen to Tasmania for photoshoot with my frens & the photos from Tasmania was SPECTACULAR.
You can actually see many of these tasmanian photos on his website. he used many of it coz he also said that he really liked Tasmania.

My frens & I all graduated from Tasmania so we all love the scenery there its really really nice hehehe...

Hi gals, i havent plan for HM also ... havent decide on the songs also.. wa still many things to settle. Now really busy with the hse thingy.

I think we will go for HM around 1 month after our wedding, after everything settle, so maybe will book something at NATAS.

Jeshii welcome.... i think u should take your PS as soon as possible coz really rush if u want your photos to be ready on ur AD. For me i'm doing "sporty" photo for indoor PS. We wear boxing gloves with the WG. For outdoor location, we went to greenery place somewhere near alexandra, st teresa church coz i wan the church background and sentosa, so for me nothing special for the outdoor location.

my FH dont like red colour, so we may just buy one that both of us like.

We just have one tea set, which my mum bot. I will be bringing them over to FH's house.

I will not be wearing a kua during tea ceremony too. I will be wearing a CS instead. So it is ok. It is quite a norm to wear CS now. But me wearing the Kua at the end of the dinner to send the guests home.

As for who is making the tea. I think should be both mothers bah. I tink it is not restrictive. As in who carries the tray, likewise, maybe one of the aunts. Or one of your jiemeis should be fine as well.

like what strawberries says, the jing cha for brides side will start after the couple goes home from the groom's place.
usually in the afternoon and will also order buffet for relatives to eat when they attend. another area that needs $$, so much on the spendings.

'san zhao hui men' means on the 3rd day, the couple returns back to the bride's place to pay respect to the parents. i dont think there's jing cha.. hm.. haa..

Hi emily, the marriage prep course i attended is conducted by St. Andrews Catheral. There are other non-religious MPC conducted by Family Planning Counsel i think.

I have seen the "couple" bedsheet both from Aussino and Bliss and also the "Xi" bedsheet but dun think i will be buying dat cos find it weird to use after AD and the quality is not there for the price u pay.

Hi all, I'm back! haha.. school started so was a little busy with those timetables and printing! met my ID on monday evening and we discussed and finalised our colours and designs till 1.45am! Can't believe it. He said we can most likely move all our things in by 10th next month. So happy.

Last Sat, went to Tangs to buy Corelle tableware, kettle, rice cooker, iron, board and also after some discussion, we bought the Dyson vacuum cleaner! The bulk of cost from the tableware and vacuum cleaner! Haha.. Luckily Citibank Tangs card got free delivery if not carry like siao. Hee..

Still haven't bought our fans.. Thinking of those tower fan cos look nicer.

Btw, my PS is confirmed on the 18th March. I'm trying to lose weight these few weeks. Hee..

A meet-up is a good idea! Let us know when. hee..
